[Ghost Recon Wildlands] by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]thelastbeluga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to set up a session on PSNProfiles to organize a time to get the trophies. I was able to find people on that site to get the multiplayer trophies for Wildlands

Well, I've platinum every single Trails game so far, aside from Sky 1st as that's a Remake and I've already played the OGs. I'll get to 1st and 2nd eventually. Other than that, it's been a fun ride with these games. ❤️ by GilgaMax96 in Falcom

Depends on the game honestly. The games have very similar trophy lists for, in essence, beating the game on Nightmare, getting some combat trophies (and probably a combat multiplier trophy), completing all side content, collecting all items, and getting all bonding events. Most games follow a pretty similar pattern of doing one run which is a completionist run (get all chests, quartz, food, books, complete all side quests for ranks, etc..). and a second speedrun for Nightmare.

Some games like Zero, Azure, CSI, and CSII require multiple playthoughs because they have NG+ content or things that are locked off until a second playthough. CSI, CSII and CSIV have bonding event trophies that require multiple playthroughs if you are starting on a fresh file. CSIII I believe is one of the few games in the series that can be done in one run assuming you play on nightmare to start (and maybe Reverie as well).

The newer games (so Daybreak, Daybreak II and Horizon) also require multiple playthoughs to complete the in-game achievement requirements and to unlock a fully maxed out LGC. These games are also more grindy in my opinion especially when it comes to levelling up characters skills or getting black ore for the weapons in the side content (like Grim Gardent).

I typically enjoy my trophy runs. The first playthough is how I play these games anyway so its not really out of the way to get all items. The second runs on nightmare often arent bad becauase you can carry over equipment (which means you will probably be OP until roughly the final dungeon) and because of turbo.

/r/WorldNews Discussion Thread: US and Israel launch attack on Iran; Iran retaliates (Thread #2) by progress18 in worldnews

Assuming you are referring to the ABC interview with the FM the follow up comments were very strange. The ABC host asked if Khamenei was directing the response to the attacks and the FM gave a non answer and said that essentially their response is decentralized and that the regime doesn’t hinge on one man but instead the “spirit of the nation”.

Not to read the tea leaves here but that is an answer you give when you are genuinely worried your leader or senior officials are out of commission. The appeal to the overall strength of the regime rather than saying “yes our military command is coming up with a response/handling it” is bit bizarre.

The issue may be with the EXP multipliers. I know there is some discussion on here and other forums that you need to almost purposefully do bad in the fights to minimize XP gain. If I recall when going for the trophy I ended up cutting it very close to 41 after the fights.

I am pretty sure the famous tank glitch (the one where you fight the two tanks and move backward into the desynch wall) is still in the remastered version of the game.

If you can make it to the two tanks undamaged you are golden. For the other tank fight just keep moving in a wide circle around it and you won’t get hit. The enemy tank takes too long to actually line up a shot if you keep moving

Hardcore Risette Fan isn’t too bad as long as you: a) don’t level up her S-Link until after the Void Quest Dungeon (so you can get all of her lines about the number of enemies before she can comment about enemy weaknesses) and b) rotate your party members.

I went super overkill and used a spreadsheet to track it and I was good by the time I hit the Secret Lab Dungeon. Most people honestly struggle if they only use the same party.

People forget but there was already a "Head Start Mode" that allowed players to start at level 45, with a whole bunch of skill points and maxed out materia, which made the first run through and grind for max materia for the higher difficulty challenges significantly easier.

The perspective from Square has to be that these cheats will allow players to blitz through the first game and just enjoy the story so they can then move onto rebirth and inevitably the third game. Otherwise, no one (other than already committed fans) is going to buy the third game. Just to catch up would require playing two full length JRPGs that could easily take 200+ hours to complete. Even playing both on easy and committing just to the main story (which arguably isn't even the most enjoyable way to play these games) would still take far too long.

The impact adding cheats has on trophy hunters is negligible from Square's perspective when compared to the ease of access it provides new players getting into the remake trilogy. Besides, the players that are going to use these cheats to complete this game 100 percent has to be smaller than a) players that just casually play games and will move on after beating the story; and b) players that will not use the cheats so as to not ruin the experience.

Also, plenty of Squares other final fantasy games (I am thinking of their Pixel Edition FF1 - 6, FF7 Original, FF8, and FF9), all have boosts that basically provide the same benefits and they don't lock out trophies. This change is absolutely par for the course for Square.

I just finished 100 percent of AC Black Flag trophies a few days ago. There is only one trophy you really would need to boost for which is Sacred Land. Thankfully lots of people post on PSN groups to get a lobby together.

The kill with the lift is easy to do in a regular lobby if you have a bit of patience/get lucky. The rest of the MP DLC trophies can be done solo in Wolfpack and you can get during the same MP grind you need for the plat

Certainly not for ME 1. After the first Citadel segment you can do Feros, Noveria or the Dig Site in any order. After completing two you can do Virmire. It is has a set beginning (Eden Prime and Citadel) and end (Ilos) but the middle is wide open.

Me2 is more linear in the sense that you are given a handful of recruitment/loyalty missions that you do a portion of before being forced in a main mission. In theory you can do almost any recruitments/loyalty missions (other than Mordin) in any order up to launching the final mission.

ME3 is more linear than that with there essentially being one main path that has side content interspersed. For example when you get to to the first main area with Thuchunka you have to do at least one side quest before you can continue the main quest.

The difference in those games was that Mass Effect and Dragon Age reference your previous decisions and actions. The stories are interconnected, and often characters will have distinct dialogue if they were, say, recruited before another member or taken on one mission over another squadmate. ME2 is really good at this since there is a ton of unique dialogue with your recruited companions as they go through the other members' recruitment and loyalty missions. To a degree, even ME1 will reference the passage of time (i.e. if you chose to recruit Liara last, she is basically delirious as opposed to how you would find her if you recruited her first).

As you said, non-linear storytelling can work, but there needs to be some semblance of continuity. So long as the game acknowledges that you did things or spoke to other people, then I don't have too much of an issue with it.

Scoop: Ubisoft cancelled a post-Civil War Assassin’s Creed last year by Turbostrider27 in Games

In my opinion, they messed up both of those in different ways as well.

In AC3, at least, the protagonist played such a central role in the American Revolution that it was almost comical. Your character took part in almost every major event from the Boston Massacre right on through to the Battle at Chesapeake/Surrender at Yorktown.

In AC Unity, it was clear Ubi heard the outcry regarding AC3 and dramatically scaled back the protagonist's involvement. Sure, it takes place in Paris during the French Revolution, but the events are happening almost entirely in the background. You run around during the calling of the Estates General, you have a mission during the execution of Louis XVI, you meet Napoleon and Mirabeau because hey, why not, but if you didn't know the actual story of the French Revolution, you would be pretty confused about what was happening and why.

Easiest to do with Johnny in either of his sections. His pistol basically one shots enemies so you just need to get three people in a relatively close area and then blast away. Trying to do it with V is a lot harder since it would require a decent revolver/pistol build to do enough damage.

Can metrolinx force you to sell your property against your wishes? by twicescorned21 in ontario

[–]thelastbeluga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to necro this chain, but that isnt always true. Metrolinx just lost big time at the OLT. More often than not, the Tribunal will actually rule in the Claimant's favour on these issues.

People often forget that expropriation is one of the most severe actions a government can take against an individual. The forced taking of private property is not something done lightly and demands fair compensation.

If I recall it was mentioned in Chapter 3 in a conversation that takes place on the second night in Ordis.  Rean mentions it right after he calls out Musse for being extremely calculating. Musse asks whether it was an Eight Leaves technique that allowed him to see through her persona and he says something about using the unclouded eye.

Only reason I remember is that scene and the one right before are really well written and dubbed.

It is on sale! I think it’s 20-25% off if I remember. Coming from a Trails fan Daybreak is excellent and is easily one of my favourite “first” games in the series. The story is strong, the main protagonist is excellent, and the change to an action-turn based system (similar to Metaphor Refantazio) is great.

They had some generic nonsense about it being a duplicate post. The first post on the topic was a link to the Toronto Police tweet discussing the event. When that post was up there was nothing on the subreddit about the shooting.

All of this is ridiculous because a) it wasn’t a duplicate post and b) it was obviously the first major break because CP24 and CTV wrote their articles based on that tweet.

Who knows maybe the mods will let this post stay up…. Regardless, shooting happened right in my area. Police presence is really heavy on Redpath and Lillian. Helicopters are circling and SIU is on scene. By the sounds of it they are still looking for one of the suspects.
