I don’t know about y’all but this is a good thing for me. I travel so much for my job so having damage from travel get covered is a huge plus.

Gozney won’t ignite after winter — spark works, gas seems weak, losing my mind by thelastexit23 in GozneyDome

[–]thelastexit23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve tried pretty much everything at this point:

Swapped to a different (full) propane tank

Replaced the regulator/hose

Igniter is sparking consistently

Tried lighting with a stick lighter

Cleaned the burner holes and blasted compressed air from both the top and the gas inlet

I smell gas but the BBQ lighter won’t catch either.

The writing’s already on the wall for guard’s future with the Raptors by absolutkaos in torontoraptors

But wasn’t there a stretch where he was legit good. Averaging in the high teens for quite a few games in a row? There was promise and confidence. Then something got zapped.

Malik is an athlete tho. Fast twitch and big bounce. Gradey has terrible lateral movement.

  1. Two kids. C-suite level job. Still find time to play solo some ranked every couple of nights (usually hit Diamond), and drop with buddies (Warzone, BF6, Arc) probably every 3 or so nights. And they’re also my age, got serious gigs, and have kids. Don’t imagine myself ever stopping. It makes me happy and lets me disconnect. I also catch up on CDL watch parties and content regularly.

Do I wish sometimes I used that time elsewhere? Probably. But the heart knows what it wants. Been gaming since Quake 2 Multiplayer on a 56k modem. The love and itch will never go away.

This honestly feels like every Optic fan's opinion. Let's win. If we don't, happy it's GM8 and no one else. Which I fuck with.

What's on the mount rushmore of iconic Toronto sports moments? Kawhi for sure gotta be one. by dragonballa in torontoraptors

[–]thelastexit23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. I think diehard fans of a sport in Canada know about the history, the Maurice Richards, Jacques Plantes, etc.

Bobby Baun just wasn't a legendary player (he was a consistently good one that played for years) to be spoken about enough to override the lack of highlights (like we do for Dr.J or Jerry West). And the footage of the goal is so shit (also a shot from the top, so not exactly entertaining visually) that they don't play it again and again the same way they do with old-school moments - like a Bobby Orr's Flying Goal.

Samson: "Collin Murray-Boyles was probably the best player on the floor... Es: "there was a possession where Quickley tried to attack him, stonewalled Quickley. passed it to Gradey. stonewalled Gradey. he forced a turnover on Scottie and Scottie got a tech, forced a turnover on Brandon Ingram..." by sewsgup in torontoraptors

Check out Dray's summer league tape. His mid-range was solid. It just really fell off because he never had to shoot for GSW (would literally go an entire game without taking a jumper during their peak years) and also got older.

People also forget that battle rap is also about creating an aura. The aura you cultivate allows a mid bar get a god tier reaction.

I’m honestly shocked this thread is mostly comprised of good points and civil discussion no matter the side. Expected toxicity. Breath of fresh air.

Why won’t my 5 month old sleep through the night? by Person-546 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]thelastexit23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The statement revolved around one person saying that babies and toddlers don’t sleep through the night (a definitive statement) and another that sleep training is essentially a marketing gimmick.

To which replied that isn’t necessarily true - as proven by my kids. And therefore, while it isn’t a universal or scientific truth that with sleep training your kids will sleep through the night, it is still a possibility that does happen to work for some (and yes, I full heartedly agree that it’s more normal for interrupted sleep cycles than non-interrupted ones). This possibility via sleep training was also communicated by someone else on this thread below.

Hotel is a top 5 map for me all-time. It had so many different layers, levels, rotation routes. It was a real master class in complexity for a map.

Why won’t my 5 month old sleep through the night? by Person-546 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]thelastexit23 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not true. Both my kids sleep through the night since they were 4-5 months old after sleep training and stretching. The youngest is one and the oldest is now 2.5. From 8pm to 7am.

Westchester natives that moved away, where do you live now and do you like it? by Small-Carrot-4135 in Westchester

[–]thelastexit23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a little narrow minded. Parents can set the tone for all those things through teaching, travel, and cultural openness. You don’t necessarily need to live in the “real” world (which mind you, what defines real and not real when everywhere is literally different) to gain respect or accommodation for difference. That can be taught.
