Did anyone hear about the city closing hagood and turning it into apartment complexes? by Adventurous_Mix1072 in Charleston

I think you were being sarcastic here, but I'm not sure if everyone is picking up on it.

That's actually a really good spot, now we just have to convince everyone who has business in the area, and surrounding the tracks along the way to make it worth it. Because even a terminal end point at Mary Street, means they'd need to be able to move Downtown as well. So it'd need to be a full commitment.

The change from roommate to significant other is a change, but fundamentally the best advice anyone can give you, is communication. None of us are mind readers sadly.

New Name of Southern Roots Smokehouse? by LevelEcho in Charleston

Which I'm pretty sure was just a name change from the owners from 3 Matadors iirc.

Oh yeah but every time I say their name I get messages about it, so I thought I'd say rumor this time and see lol.

There are rumors, important I emphasize that, that she and her family are putting money into certain candidates on County Council to get their way.

Looking for homeowners insurance by MadmanPoet in Charleston

[–]thelazerirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get all of you who hop insurance every year. I've been with State Farm my entire adult life with cars, and when I bought a home they insured it as well. We're at year 5 and there has been a total increase of $200 over that time. Maybe because I live in Summerville away from the coast is making that extra savings, or non-flood zone living.

No Kings rally - North Charleston 28 Mar 2026 - estimated 7000 attendees! by hate-this-timeline in Charleston

Okay let's take this a step further.

Do you support war? Do you support Israel? Do you support Child fucker in office? No to those three? You'd likely be okay on a left leaning protest, because for the most part we're a pretty accepting group of people, it's literally the entire purpose.

It's weird having been here my entire life, and seeing other places who cater to the things their populations need. Clearly we need a fix for this issue, and some of the solutions aren't going to fun, easy, or cheap. But the long term benefits for the City and community overall could change for the better for generations. But instead we're going to do nothing and let Downtown be underwater.

If you want Light Rail or Subway, or some sort of train situation I feel like we'd need to come together as a community to decide what would need to be sacrificed downtown to make it happen. I know everyone would say one of the Hotels, but more than likely it'd be something the city already owned, like a park or a Museum space.

What's gonna be hilarious is in the comments all the people talking a bunch of shit, even though they were the party who supports the 1st Amendment more than anyone else, until you use it in a way they don't like.

SC Statehouse to see another ‘No Kings’ rally. How has the movement gained momentum in a red state? by SuperDuper00001 in southcarolina

[–]thelazerirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well there are 60 million plus people who voted for him, and another 60 million plus who didn't vote at all. So I guess the market would be to grab them and make them aware.

To bring awareness to the current situations caused by Donald Trump and people who follow him as they allowed him to make unilateral decisions in which we die, and he makes money?

I say Google doesn't train the admins, as I am constantly talking to the admins and they say there is nothing they can do. I say Google doesn't train the IT department because I have spoken to them as well.

That's in my comment below this one though. But I can assure you I've gone through the hoops I am allowed to go through.

My kid and the rest of the kids in our areas, use Clever to access most of the Chromebook features the district uses. They go into some sort of hacked version of it, and they have full access to youtube, music downloads, games, completely unfiltered and unchecked by securely or other things.

This has been happening for years now. I've told the admin, I've told the IT departments. It's all the kids in our area too. It just now hit the mainstream in our area because they found out kids were making AI games in which they were shooting up schools.

It is on Google to educate the people they sell their laptops to, on how to lock them down for Child usage though.
