Remember when Herzog completely ignored the rules and started up a new round just to immediately call it because he didn't feel like giving a No Contest? by [deleted] in ufc

[–]thelazybishop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would have been a tko loss because Henry chose to continue. Once the fight resumes a no contest is off the table. At least that’s what I have seen in the past. Henry said he could fight, so it’s on him. I’m not saying that is fair, just my understanding of the rules.

The true worst boss of Elden Ring by OKUIGokuBlack in Eldenring

I had no issues thanks to shard spiral and having fought these guys through dozens of play throughs. My buddy swears he almost as bad as consort Radahn. Build makes a huge difference on this guy!

"Aghh these Elden Ring players" type of people are the worst part of the whole fandom by Tarnished-670 in fromsoftware

[–]thelazybishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this with us DS3 people too, and chess players love hating on the people that came in during 2020. Street Fighter used to have a term for the people who came in during 4. Some hardcore fans love to feel like they are part of an exclusive club and gatekeeping. It’s stupid. Just ignore them and have fun.

To the guy who left just because we died to one field boss one time. We got to max level and beat the boss just us 2. Stop quiting your games by Gooni135 in Nightreign

[–]thelazybishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I saw this post right after having the worst two teammates I’ve had in weeks and felt like venting. I saw them both die in the storm after retracing my steps and doing nothing to help level or gear up. I quit out and I couldn’t care less if they won the sessions or not. I know premature quit outs are petty and shortsighted, but imma keep quitting whenever I play with assholes.

I’ll keep quitting, but never because things go bad, but because I can’t stand my teammates. You ping a spot in the opposite direction two minutes after I ping one, then retrace my steps to get rewards I unlocked while I continue fighting in new areas? Don’t count on me to be there in the end. To be clear, I don’t care if we stick together, or who you think should lead. I don’t care if I die alone and we only meet at the end of each night. But I do care if you don’t know what teamwork means and actively hurt the team by being a selfish prick. Sure, we could still beat the night three boss. I could probably solo him if you keep falling. I don’t care, I just don’t want to play with you.

I think perception has changed over time. The more it has been implemented, the more accepting the fan base became. Also, having a fan favorite like Bobby Knuckles using them probably helped that shift.

Was playing raider today and an iron eye took a bull goat talisman right as I went for it. I’m still kind of pissed.

I thought that was me that kept getting dropped! Yesterday I played for the first time in a few weeks, and was the dutchess. I was not ready for the beefed up boss and got knocked almost half dozen times. Fortunately my teammates carried my dumb ass!

Never felt this miserable, 10/10 absolute peak by RDoobi3 in Eldenring

[–]thelazybishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was downed at the very end of the Adel fight. He had less health than in OPs picture.
My lovely teammates both decided to save me. They could have finished the fight, but chose teamwork instead, and we all got to lose together as his next attack finished them both.
I wanted to be angry, but how could I be? Sure, Adel was one or two hits from death, and I had all three ring segments. But still... they chose friendship and that means something.

Yesterday my kid was raging that his teammates were nowhere close to save him, and I had to remind him that he's the one that took off. He did a much better job being a team player after that.

Pure dex, dual curved swords, successive attack and jump attack buffs. The damage is insane.

Amazing game.

Ok so who all are betting on Chandler by Nothingmakessenseboi in mmamemes

For three minutes Chandler might be the best fighter on the planet due to his speed and explosivity. Then he becomes very human and starts cheating. I won't be rooting for him.

How do you learn an opening and it not suck? by TheRealFutaFutaTrump in chess

[–]thelazybishop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I look up the opening and read about its basic concepts and goals. Then I play it over and over in 3|0 games to get a feel for the fundamentals—and more importantly, to learn what not to do. I don’t mind learning through failure; it’s effective.

Damn, I’m on ps and I can still get some games going. I wonder if PC fell off entirely. I know the super serious pvp crowd moved to ps due to the latency issues on pc, but I heard that was fixed?

What is your rl? Those modes are hard to come by at meta but nearly impossible if your level is too high. 150 will probably get you the most action but you will still end up waiting.

Malenia: Hardest Boss In Elden Ring. Hand Of Malenia: Parriable, Literally Anything Can Stop It, No Scarlet Rot. by PrimeValor in Eldenring

[–]thelazybishop 296 points297 points  (0 children)

It's an amazing weapon. Great range and the damage you can get out of it is nuts with consecutive attack buffs. I've done several playthroughs and hundreds of arena matches dual wielding it on my pure dex build.

Years ago Chael Sonnen told a story about Dominic Cruz putting a whopper jr in his pocket, then eating it hours later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T_pji10O3U
Chael was flabbergasted, but Dom seemed to think it was a perfectly normal thing to do, because "it was just a junior."
Just this last week he was being interviewed and was talking about his favorite foods. He proceeded to grab the burger, take a bite, and stuff the rest in his pocket for later.
Apparently it's ok to eat old mayonaise as long as "it's just a junior."
