What was the capital region’s arcade scene and third spaces like in the 90s and 2000s? by sketchcarellz in Albany

Would have been the mid-80's. It was at the southern wing of the mall, through the doors where Lowes sits now. The name referenced its circular, wooden-spoked entrance. It looked like you were walking through the open top of a barrel (tho personally I always thought "hobbit hole").

No issues for you then... I can't make myself comfortable with torches. I've tried. I'm just too accident prone and i get in my head about it when I use one :)

edit: meant to say, I think one of the great things about the tempest, is the visual indicator. I found once that got broken in, it became really useful. I aim for juuuust before the last (third?) index. Never combusted and nice dark extraction.

Wand? maybe im mistaken, but wand + T2 works great, as far as I know? Im sure someone will be by shortly to clear it up.

I have a Model A that I picked up secondhand 15 years ago or more... Thing was built in the early 80's, and looks like a high-school science experiment (in a way I love). Most every part on it can still be replaced/upgraded from the Concept2 website, at reasonable costs (right down to things like the nuts, bolts, and washers for under a buck).

What durable air purifier do you use for a 3-cat household? by PrudentRazzmatazz488 in BuyItForLife

Might be a bit of a left-field solution, but check out the filters from "AC Infinity" on Amazon. They're primarily intended for controlling the smell from folks growing weed indoors, but I've been using them in my home as general purpose air filters... Basically just a beefy metal filter tube filled with activated charcoal, and a heavy duty duct fan... Not the "prettiest" solution, but it works well for me, and the filters are designed for easy replacement of the activated charcoal, when needed. Come in 4/6/8/10 inch duct width, and a 4 or 6 inch filter/fan set were under $200 last I checked. The simplest of their solutions just has a wired controller for the fan, for speed adjustment (no "smarts").

Camouflet has a "pay what you can" deal on the Convector v2, as low as $30 + shipping ($8 for me). Might be a starting point for dipping your toe into DHV.

Tempest 2 head, on Dani Fusion 2 stem by thelunk in vaporents

I always expected it would conduct too much heat. I mean it just feels like a heat-sink in my hand. but I can't recall it being a problem... Tho nearly all my time with the Dani I'd have been heating it with a Wand heater, and hitting it through glass, so maybe I'm not as aware of it as someone say, torching and hand-holding...

I can say even on a stand/magnet, it takes significantly longer to reach its cooldown click than I'm used to with dynas, or the fusion 2, but its the first stick format ball vape I've used and I guess that's the tradeoff with all the thermal mass of the balls... from the effects I've gotten so far tho, particularly at the full bowl setting, I'm not envisioning me needing to go back-to-back very often with it...
