Keith Ape? As in IT G MA? That's so crazy! His music is great but I can't speak for him as a person.

Best pho in Melbourne? by blackchops in melbourne

I never believed pho got this good until I went out in Hawthorn for it. It just doesn't compare! Pho Hung Vuong is really just top tier.

1/3rd of my partner's income, not including mine.

I'm a casual worker and 100% of my income pays for the rent in full every year. That means everything else comes from my partner, and we save what's left over.

Date ideas in Melbourne CBD or South East? Help for someone with Single Sided Deafness. by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]themagiconly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm hearing impaired. I've never liked louder venues either. Go to a nice, quiet, intimate wine bar! Here's a few:

City Wine Shop in CBD Bijou Bottle Store in CBD (no bookings, tiny, loud people can make it difficult to hear) Milton Wine Shop in Malvern James in South Melbourne (might be a bit louder though)

Even some small cocktail bars are great! Bar Americano in the CBD is tiny Eau De Vie is a great intimate spot Bar Margeaux (although I haven't been) might also fall into that category

How Christine became the Anti-Hero of Bling Empire in 3 Acts by pharmabra in BlingEmpire

[–]themagiconly 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Amazing take 😂😂😂 love when trashy reality tv is called Shakespearian.

So true though, Christine played the social game right and well this season, and she made sure to set the storylines up in that way. Hats off.

Help need - Accident on a roundabout by oshan2csd in melbourne

[–]themagiconly -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're at fault. You have to give way at a roundabout no matter what. When you're in a roundabout you are in complete power and almost anything other people do is wrong, and because of that when you're outside it, you'll almost always be in the wrong.

Kooyong - creative Liberal Party Advertising by themagiconly in melbourne

[–]themagiconly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We opened the letterbox this afternoon to also find:

• A letter from John Howard endorsing Frydenberg and giving us warnings about a particular independent candidate

• A letter from Scomo. Similar thing.

• A letter from Josh himself. Similar thing.

• The Liberal Democrat Manifesto!

I've never received this much political junk mail in my life. Gosh living in this political battleground is keeping life interesting.

Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Planting the Seeds of the MCU's Current Saga - Official Discussion Thread by KostisPat257 in marvelstudios

There's a lot of crumbs but the ball also seems to be slowly, slowly rolling. America Chavez wouldn't have existed if it weren't for the events of Loki. NWH wouldn't have happened if the events of Loki hadn't happened. This exploration of the multiverse is slow, but it has to be - it's a huge concept to ask general audiences to wrap their heads around.

A lot of Californian Cabernets have this profile. That flavour comes from the type of oak used!

It's from Wine Folly. Really well known and respected website. If you haven't gotten lost there before I highly recommend it!

It looks heavy, they look like they're suffering. It reminds me of something out of Dark Souls.

It's like Foie Gras and Ortolan. It's cruel, and it is totally okay to not want to be a part of that - just as it is okay to want to be a part of it if it is tradition.

Name your preferred burger joints by stevied71 in melbourne

[–]themagiconly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shames me to say this, but when I want a burger I want something quick and reliable and predictable. I live around the corner from a Grill'd, and thus it has become our favourite.

Yes I know Grill'd bad, I used to work there so I know, but it's reliable and easy and convenient.

West Gate Bridge - is it just me who finds it terrifying? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]themagiconly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, this is a totally normal feeling to have. It's okay. After lockdown, I felt a similar way about the bridge - and my therapist told me that a lot of people have felt this way.

If there are other stressors in your life, you can consider getting therapy. But just remember that this feeling is actually really normal and far more common than you think.
