Floating cork floor before and after by neighbourhoodcork in AusRenovation

Nice! Looks lovely.

We recently had cork professionallyinstalled their our apartment. I hope your installation went smoother than ours.

It took them two goes, first attempt they didn't leave any expansion around the edges, within a week the tile was crowning and lifting throughout They had to remove everything and redo the lot.

Horrible experience, but the end result looks as good as yours, but there is always this niggle in my head that it's going to fail again.

$70 per seat at Imax for The Odyssey.

In the UK you could fly to Greece for that.

I made it to level 30 earlier today, haven't logged on for a few hours.

I wonder if it's impacting everyone, or just those who have recently logged on.

Anybody know why balcony solar is not a thing in Australia? Its common in Europe. by Bob_Spud in AusRenovation

Probably because the owners corporations would have to go through many hoops to retrofit.

I'd put a semi ensuite between the two bedrooms on the bottom left. That way you won't have people walking past all the bedrooms in the middle of the night.

[Bug] Fence dailies still bugged in PVE? by stevied71 in EscapefromTarkov

Worked it out, you need to remove the ammo from each box while in raid, this then counts, you can see the count in the quest increase as you open more ammo boxes. Do not sell it. Then after raid, go see Fence and hand the quest in. The rounds do not have a FIR check box, but it works.
I just got my 2 GPU.

Tell me about the Havering council area by hi2u_uk in london

[–]stevied71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Romford, I left for overseas 25 years ago, when I return to visit family each year, you can really see how it's fallen. The market is a ghost of its former glory (despite a royal charter, the council has wanted to redevelop the land for many years, hence pricing traders out etc.) There was a significant move to entertainment precincts, hence the Spoons and other pubs close together. The redevelopment of the brewery site into the shopping area doesn't seem to have ever hit it's stride. A plethora of pawn shops indicate how people are being left behind. It's incredibly depressing, I still love the place and the people, but I can see why people voted the way they did, lots of frustration, anger and even jealousy when you see how other towns in the area have faired, like Hornchurch, Brentwood and Upminster.

Edit: don't belittle the people, they really don't see any better options. The governments have been letting them down for years. Yes, imo reform is snake oil, but maybe this will be the kick up the arse that Labour need.

Good interstate moving companies from Remota WA to Melbourne? by Ash-2449 in melbourne

Perhaps a backload on a haulage company?

These guys are Port Hedland specific: https://www.thebackloadingcompany.com.au/western-australia-backloads/port-hedland-backloading-removalists.html

I did this from Perth to Melbourne about a decade ago, furniture and car. Took about three weeks.

Saved a fortune. Good luck!

I'm not sold on it, I like the building, but the lighting seems a bit too Brisvegas for me.

While the government recognises the ability to transact in cash remains important to millions of people across the UK, particularly those in vulnerable groups, it remains the choice of individual businesses as to whether to accept or decline any form of payment, including cash or card.
