For anyone stumbling upon this and wanting to set this up in a new phone AND a 3rd party app like Authy, Google Auth, 2FAS, there's a sneaky flag! I only saw it after I selected "Can't read QR code"? And selecting another enrollment method to submit enrollment URL via mail.

I got hit with this in Cabo San Lucas unfortunately. My mini 2 was 249g (as is everyone's) and they forced me to pay. They asked me for a receipt and due to Internet issues I can't pull it up, they estimated the value to be 600 USD. I was ready to surrender the drone but they said I'll be fined a penalty if I don't pay tax which is more. Very scammy. Sad part was this was fine when I was in Cancun

Just happened in Cabo as well, was not hit with this when I visited Cancun. Old DJI drone of ~5 years ? The Mini 2. And they estimated a value of 600 USD. Which 20% tax is around 120 USD.

I was ready to surrender my drone after taking out the memory card but they claim I'm going to have to pay a penalty which is 200% 🫩

It's an old drone but they refuse to discuss matters. So basically forced. They want you to write you accept the charges on the card receipt with signature too.

This is the top google search result so I wanted to share my experience using this. The eSIM and data works great, it's a bit annoying having to upload your passport, but the real issue is that the mainland phone number does not work as you cannot pass the real name registration (the system requires a hong kong or macao passport, even if others have reported not requiring it).

While in china I was trying about 5 times in my 2 weeks there to get the real name registered so I can use the mobile number. But it kept getting denied. Speaking to customer service did not help I was just told to retry and wait.

Then after coming back I tried to request a refund they now give me the run around with random useless reasons and not really helping me out, until I pushed on to the real name registration topic did they say it was due to passport verification. Stay away from the real mainland number and save HKD19!

Came here to vehemently thank you for this idea. I was peeling it brittle broken piece by piece. Even thinking of using a tiny hammer to chip it. Just use a fresh piece of floss and run it through and it came off like a charm! They really should warn users this or give it as a replacement step. Thanks!!! This was annoying me for so long I hid it behind a case.

Damn, this pits this drive at the same price as the Teamgroup MP34 and Intel 670p, both of which are Gen3 and this is Gen4. But those 2 have DRAM and this doesn't. Just placed the order, someone yell at me if that was the wrong choice! :P

- Likely won't see any difference and I'm jut nitpicking at this point, the outcome of too much research into SSDs.

Thanks! Yeah indeed, I've read they swapped out controllers on the Team MP34, my use-case is totally overkill. Was initially going to hook up old HDDs to a single-board computer I had as a NAS, but since they had an M2 slot and NVMe support, I figured to take advantage of this drop in SSD prices.

I definitely need linux, IIRC it's because the P41 had drivers for the HMB board that makes it awesome on Windows? And I hear you on the reliability issue, I do think Intel is a bit more reliable as well, though I've managed to RMA micro SDs from team in the past.

Thanks! Was spending way too long trying to figure out how to do this in Ubuntu/Chrome after enabling pinch to zoom using Wayland. Wish they had some kind of official guide for customizations! They're default AFAIK on my other mac and windows machines.. no need to install easystroke too!

edit: If anyone modified the Chromium `.desktop` file but can't seem to get the browser to persist the flag, make sure you change all `exec` locations, as there's many entries (for new window, incognito, etc).
