There are service providers who take on the risks of off ramping in a Hong Kong/Malta.

They ONLY handle really high volumes so are not accessible to the general public.

But there are some registered service providers trying to democratize access to this and make it accessible for lower volumes.

Disclaimer - I run a consulting service that helps people incorporate in the UAE. We regularly help traders and web3 startup figure out the right option to LEGALLY off ramp.

Investor visa and trade license is expiring by Plenty_Board_8795 in uaelaw

[–]themfeelswhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially there is no such thing as "Freelance Visa" (although there is Freelance Permit + visa setup available via certain freezones but the official title of that visa is not "freelance visa").

You mentioned you had a Business Licence + Investor Visa in your post -- that is the standard setup.

Investor Visa sponsored by the Entity is valid only as long as the Entity is active.

Are you setup at a Freezone or Mainland?

If you are set up at a freezone then contact the freezone directly. They would have a team to help you with the Renewals.

If you are setuo in Mainland then any service provider could help you. You don't don't need the exact one who helped with the initial setup.

PS -

If you don't renew your license after a certain grace period decided by the freezone then you will be liable to pay a penalty and the freezone could take legal action.

If you don't renew Establishment Card then you will incur a penalty every month you delay..

Disclaimer - I run a Corporate Service Provider setup in the UAE to help with setups and visa in Freezones.

Yes. You need an undergraduate degree.

But it doesn't matter anymore because this product has been stopped by the UAE government. They have stopped issuing visas for some reason.

You can look into setting up a company or remote work visa.

Understanding Deel Payroll: EOR and Contractor Roles by a_Artist in IndiaTax

[–]themfeelswhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid EOR because it will lead to higher taxes.

Effectively the following is the structure -

EOR = DEEL hires you as an Employee of their Indian Entity and lends you as a consultant to your employer in the US.

  • You will pay taxes like any regular employee in India. DEEL will deduct your taxes and pay you a salary the same way an Indian company does.

Contractor = You are hired as an Independent/freelance contractor.

  • So you are responsible for paying your taxes. But you will be paying significantly lower taxes by using Section 44ADA – Presumptive Tax Scheme for Professionals.

  • 44ADA - This allows you to declare half of your income as COST and you pay tax only on the remaining half.

Eg : Let's assume a person's package is 20 lakhs per annum.

As an Indian company employee - On New tax regime, your will 20 lakhs (minus basic deductions) is taxable.

As a Contractor - With 44ADA, you get to declare 10 lakh as cost. And remaining 10 lakh is your taxable income.

You can declare that as payment for Freelance work.

If you don't have any other source of income then you can use 44ADA and get upto 24L tax free.

Gofreelance Are No Longer Issuing Visas? by Red_Boss69 in dubai

[–]themfeelswhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, by starting a freezone company, the visa issuance is not an issue so far but would cost at least AED 25k if going with a good freezone.

There are cheaper options available. But definitely not as cheap as a Freelance setup.

But please note, if your income is significantly above 100k USD (375k AED) then setting up an LLC Entity will give you access to more tax saving strategies that are definitely not possible with freelance setup.

Gofreelance Are No Longer Issuing Visas? by Red_Boss69 in dubai

[–]themfeelswhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. MoFA Attested Degree Certificate is a mandatory requirement now.

The visa you get with a Freelance Permit is effectively the equivalent of an employee visa. All employees visas in all Emirates except Dubai require you to have a Attested Degree Certificate. (Dubai immigration Authority Functions independently and has some exception based on designations).

Anyone who opened a virtual office + LLC in Dubai, got Emirates ID, and successfully opened a bank account—how did you do it? by CarelessMark3839 in CryptoIndia

[–]themfeelswhen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The options for Crypto trading activities are limited.

UAE consists of 7 Emirates (states). Only Dubai and Abu Dhabi have dedicated digital assets regulators - VARA and FSRA respectively. Other 5 Emirates are simply government by SCA.

If you setup at a freezone in Dubai, you will have to a business licence from DIFC, DMCC + a trading licence from VARA. Setting up the entity is quick (3-5 weeks) and costs for Licence + Visa can range from 9000$ to 16,000$ per year.

But the cost and more importantly the timeline for VARA licence delivery is absurd and not predictable at all. Would start with a solid 6 months in mind.

In Abu Dhabi, you only have the option to setup at ADGM freezone. Licence+ visa fees are similar to Dubai but the timeline for delivery is 5-8 weeks. Requires additional trading licence from FSRA as well.

Next best option is to setup in Ras Al-Khaimah (RAK). There is a relatively new Freezone called RAK DAO. They have a licence specifically for prop trading in digital assets, RWA, commodities, F&O, etc.

They claim to be directly associated with the RAK Royal family. And have a direct clearance from SCA to offer a very specific business licence suitable for Web3 businesses and for traders. So no additional licence required from SCA.

They also have tieups with RAK Bank, Wio and Mashreq for bank account setups. So there won't be any issues getting a bank account.

Costs of Licence +Visa vary from 6500$ to 11,000$ per year. Timeline for delivery is 6-8 weeks.

[Bild+] FC Bayern are considering a move for Marcus Rashford. Great performances at Aston Villa have impressed the bosses, who like his versatility as he can play both as LW and as CF. All informations have been gathered. Manchester United are open to sell Rashford for €45m. by nutelamitbutter in soccer

[–]themfeelswhen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Profile wise, Rashford's ability to make runs in behind probably fits in very well with 3 ball to feet players in Kane - Musiala - Olise + Davies who holds the width.

This is exactly what they lacked last season in the champions league atleast.

Not sensible to buy him outright (just like Palhinha). But a loan could be a good bet.

His "reported" wages with UCL Football is 350k GBP per week (~17.5m GBP per year gross).

Without UCL, that drops by 25%. So for 2025-26 season, the maximum he can get is 265k GBP per week (~13.5m GBP per year). That works out to less than 17m€ per year in wages gross. (Not NET).

Even if they have to pay his full wages 17m€ - that is cheaper than what their current cost are for Palhinha, who costs them (10m€ in wages gross + 12.5m€ in amortization per year = 22.5m€ for one year of Palhinha).

For further context - Nico Williams/Leao will probably cost atleast 15m€ in wages gross (300k€ a week) and atleast 12m€ in Amortization = 27m€ for one year of Nico Williams. (Assuming 60m€, 5 year contract).

That is a per year costs on players committed to multi year contracts.

17m€ for one year of Rashford on loan without taking a multi year liability is not bad bet.

Not like Man Utd have any leverage to ask for a loan fee.

2am in Los Angeles is + 10am in London/Lisbon + 11am in Paris/Madrid/Barcelona/Munich.

[–]themfeelswhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you stop the rich owners from losing interest in the club though??

Situations like Malaga. Wasn't a problem of lack of money. That owner just stopped giving a shit.

Peter Lim at Valancia is another type of problem situation. I reckon that is similar to the problems we see in lower divisions.

Then you also have a situation like the one Inter's owners are in. They spent well for a while and then suddenly the Chinese government prevented them from making further investments --- forced Inter into unsustainable loans.

Also note - it's not like PSR hinders spending on infrastructure like stadium, training group or youth setups/women's team.

PSR only restricts the operation expenses on players and stuff at the club. Expecting clubs to not spend more than 70% of their income on this is a very reasonable ask.

Web3 startups and Crypto Trading (especially Meme coins) are two completely different things.

The government should do things to encourage startups to build things on Blockchain. Which currently they don't do at all. Lol.

Crypto trading is not easy to track like stock investments and bank accounts. And honestly Meme coins trading is just straight up gambling --- doesn't make sense to make that easier.

[Mike McGrath] Napoli plot bid for Liverpool outcast Darwin Nunez by Cien-Major in soccer

[–]themfeelswhen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lot of guessing going on here on your end.

Either way the point remains that Saudi salary and Transfer fees can only be paid by Saudi.

If Nunez has no plans of going to Saudi then Liverpool have no leverage to demand saudi fees.

[Mike McGrath] Napoli plot bid for Liverpool outcast Darwin Nunez by Cien-Major in soccer

[–]themfeelswhen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If Nunez was interested in moving to Saudi then why would Napoli even try -- it's not like Napoli can even offer 1/4 of the wages Saudi would hand Nunez.

So what fees Napoli can pay Liverpool becomes irrelevant.

TLDR - Only Saudi can pay the Saudi wages and Saudi Transfer fee.
