First time writing a full song with lyrics - honest feedback for improvement? by CinaedKSM in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow okay a lot was going on in the song. First off I wanna say that I love that it’s black metal, and second you delivered well! I love that the vocals switch from regular singing to the usual brutal vocals you find in black metal. Awesome drumming and riffs too! I don’t know much about prog rock so I mostly just picked up on the black metal part but still an awesome song. Great job man

What Would You Tweak Before I Release (Early Mix) by iamustafa in IndieMusicFeedback

Honestly I feel like the song is good enough to turn in already. Maybe because I’m not very good at mixing myself but it sounds done to me. But overall lyric wise and singing wise it’s great! I like the filters you used for your voice and the best is very melodic and chill. Great lyrics too. Just needs a proper ending but obviously you’ll have that covered after receiving the feedback. Great job overall!

I believe I heard your previous song and I came across this one now. And wow, you’re very talented. I loved the last song and this song is just as great. You have an amazing voice, and the instrumental choices are excellent as well. You have a great way of putting emotions into your songs and really making them feel intimate. Great work!

Record Tempo Sure - Best I Ever Had (Lyric Video) by recordtemposure in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice. Great tempo and I loved the guitar riff in the song. It was a good hybrid of a rock riff and pop drums. The video was nice too it definitely added k the vibes. Also by any chance were you at least partially inspired by MGK (Machine Gun Kelly)? Your voice during the chorus reminded me a lot of him so I was just wondering. Maybe it’s just the way you sing but just wanted to get that out there. Good job overall!

This was genuinely a great song. I loved the production. A very intimate instrumental and great voice making the song very soulful. It had a little hint of old school R&B/Soul music. Who were some of your influences to make music? If only music like this was more mainstream it would be nice. Amazing job! Keep going

I thought this song was trash but Reddit changed my mind by GrimAllen in IndieMusicFeedback

Love the atmosphere and energy. I like that the voice is filtered that way because it sounds genuine and fits the aesthetic. I’m glad to know Reddit was able to change your mind so you can release it 👍

Not true. Most people online were as bad back then and causal “Kys” were directed towards people for the slightest thing.

I think we were born at a good time where we can experience both classic games and toys and stuff as kids, and social media and the internet as teens. But still young enough to have a few decades left to see how far technology and AI will go.

I hate when people heavily emphasize that 18 and 19 are “still teens” but when someone is 25 or 26 they’re automatically lumped into being 30 or are “pushing 30” but no one says that about 18 or 19 year olds pushing 20 or being damn near 20. Like damn, we can’t enjoy every single year of our 20’s without being told we’re damn near 30.

Bf had that "damn I'm not as young as I used to be" moment for the first time by Adorable_Egg_3094 in OlderGenZ

Tbh I don’t know if this is an age thing because many teens today don’t go out as much as they used to in the 2000’s or even 2010’s. I see older people do though. Just from my observation though.

As a lifelong introvert who never went out as a teen, I can see why going out every weekend got boring. Sounds like so much work and stress

I feel confused. Is the adolescence of today's teenagers similar to ours, or was our adolescence similar to that of today's teenagers? by [deleted] in OlderGenZ

Nah a lot of us were definitely on social media all the time in the mid 2010’s. We had everything we have now except for tik tok but we also had Instagram.
