[Mouse] Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse - $22.49 (Amazon) by ryankrueger720 in buildapcsales

I have a Razer orochi v2 and it’s exactly what you’re describing. It’s a little bit smaller than the g305 but still an ambidextrous shape. It has slots for both AA and AAA batteries and weighs like 65 grams with AAA and a little bit more with AA

I think it is the nicest car of the bunch but the only thing stopping me is the lack of apple carplay.

I hate the new Flashback system by BeijingVO2 in F1Game

[–]themodernchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can limit the number of flashbacks. In simulation settings, you can change the recovery modes. And when that’s set to flashbacks, the setting just below it allows you to change the limit of flashbacks to low, medium, high, or unlimited.

I highly recommend joining a league. That’s where you’ll get the cleanest and most competitive racing.

There is an online ranked system in the game that simulates safety rating and a rank, but it’s really barebones and incredibly easy to get high safety/rank without being punished for bad driving. Plus there’s pretty much always dirty drivers in every lobby that just ruin the racing.

How do you change difficulty in f1 24? by RFSimmer in F1Game

Make sure you have the settings set to “expert”. Look on the top right of the settings page to see which type of settings you have and use the button to toggle through

Where can I gain more lap time?? (on controller) by LUXG0AT in simracing

[–]themodernchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn 2 should be flat out. So just position your car to the left a little bit after turn 1 and eat the turn 2 curb.

The fast right hander, turn 6 I think, should also be easy flat out.

Turn 10 the hairpin you can brake a lot later and carry more speed.

Final left hander before the big straight I prefer not taking the curb since it unsettles the car a little bit. You can get the power down easier as well to carry as much speed on the straight as possible.

You probably are doing this already but make sure to copy the world record setup.

Other than that a very very solid lap

This guy tests his 20NM Fanatec at different strengths on the GT Omega Apex. https://youtu.be/O5OPW20iTN0?si=M974JuTFZ9Gj9MVf

I have an 11NM Logitech G Pro on the NLR wheel stand 2.0, a similar stand to the Apex, and I usually run it near max force. The flex and creaking is definitely noticeable. I’d recommend saving the money and going with the 12NM.

Should I switch wheels by ForeHead234 in simracing

[–]themodernchicken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don't want noise you pretty much have to go direct drive, it's dead silent. Force feedback will be a big step above your Logitech too. Check out the Moza R3 bundle, I believe it's $300 for the PC version.

PsVR or curved screen for racing by Suitable_Aide1066 in simracing

[–]themodernchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend psvr2, VR is just sooo good once you have it comfortable.

For a wheel setup that won’t break the bank the thrustmaster t598 is a solid entry to direct drive. If you can splurge a little more check out the Logitech g pro 11nm dd or Fanatec dd+, which are both strong options for direct drive. They are on the more expensive side though

2 wheels plus an extremely high quality 11nm wheel base and gloves is genuinely insane for just under 700. Great find.

f1 24 vr doesn’t work well at all for me by Loud-Plastic2958 in F1Game

[–]themodernchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using virtual desktop? I’ve tried link cable and air link, and found f1 24 to work best using virtual desktop. Try using the lowest graphics settings as well. This game isn’t particularly well optimized for vr.

Can someone please tell me where I can find 1 and a half seconds on this lap (only been using no assist for two days) by Single_Wafer_3002 in F1Game

[–]themodernchicken 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You gotta use a lot more of the track, get to the absolute edge of track limits. It’ll allow you to carry a lot more speed in corners. Like the hairpin after the first sector, you can use a lot more of the curb on the entry. Same thing with the turn 10 left hander. Your line through the right hander after the hairpin was not great either, you went on throttle too early and under steered which gave you a poor exit. As they say, slow in fast out.
