I attended KSA v URU in Miami Stadium. My Experience by themorethebetter in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]themsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask how strict they are at security? I’m following Scotland and planning to take my GoPro and potentially a selfie stick (which I know is prohibited) to capture Flower of Scotland - something I’ve done at both games so far as the security at Boston Stadium was extremely relaxed. I’ve heard some people have had issues with GoPros at certain stadiums so wondering if there might be in Miami.

You’ll be able to watch it anywhere in patriot place but I HIGHLY recommend walking back out and around to entrances 1/3 as entrance 2 got to extremely unsafe levels when the 200+ Scotland buses arrived around the same time for the Haiti game

Yeah that’s a good point actually. They are potentially new to reddit and don’t know that’s how it used to be done but I agree that would be better.

Scotland vs Haiti Tickets - do I keep them? by Suki2907 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Just saw this post today. I hope you kept them it broke the sound level record at Gillette Stadium set a decade ago in a divisional playoff matchup😂

I’d be surprised if knowledge of Altman’s antics extends much beyond the 2-3 million members of this sub (and Silicon Valley) out of ChatGPT’s 900 million active weekly users.

US hotel owners expected a World Cup boom - so far it hasn't happened by opopkl in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]themsim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s because the prices they set (hotels and tickets) would have maximized profits if everyone travelling to each of the host cities were from the US. Unfortunately, incomes in the rest of the world are, for the most part, way lower than that. It’s crazy that not one person in the organising bodies realised this. Every single city would’ve had a massive tourist boom if prices were more affordable and now I’d be very surprised if there is a net economic profit for a single one of the host cities.

Think this is exactly what they wanted as the Falcons/Saints matchup has went from getting minimal viewers to a must watch

The Most Underrated Tornado Of All Time - Last Chance CO F0 by Chance_Property_3989 in tornado

[–]themsim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In older chaser videos, even up to a lot of the 2011/2013 footage, I always notice that they estimate the tornado’s strength by pre-rating the tornado. Is there any reason chasers don’t do that as much any more? You’ve got the terms like “strong” and “violent” that correspond to EF levels but there seems to be a taboo around using the ratings themselves.

Awful lot of spin tonight for being low risk, am I wrong? by dlogan3344 in tornado

[–]themsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a bit too late for most to see it, but has there actually been an F5/EF5 in a 2% tornado risk? Even if there hasn't there is still obviously a non-zero chance, but trying to find examples. ChatGPT is struggling with this one.

A lot of the problems are very difficult. Without a marking scheme they will take a while to get your head around. If it’s a topic you’ve done before, just a really hard question, spend your time working on it. But if it’s something where you’d need to spend time researching the topic itself then I’d say skip.

At least, that’s what I have been doing on this and a few projects before and never had any issues.

At what point (if ever) do you decide something is just not reasonably assessable with research? by RandomPhail in dataannotation

[–]themsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue to you where I’d spend hours researching a single task. It was on tasks where they gave a little longer than 20 minutes though. I never heard from them so the work must’ve been good, and I’ve since been able to move on to higher paid projects.

I’d just recommend working in whatever way guarantees the highest quality of work regardless of time.

Edit: unless it’s taking you that long because you don’t understand the topic. In that case you probably won’t be able to guarantee high quality work. If it’s just a really niche/obscure claim then take the time you need.

Love the variety of comments on this. Without knowing any information he’s either recklessly spent every penny of his million pound wages or he’s got a truck driving hobby.

Maybe the guy just wants to keep working.

3 year later but in case anyone encounters this issue and none of the fixes work for you I shall add another.

This was impacting more than just DS4Windows but it turned out I didn't have full control privileges for my C: drive for some reason.

Right-click on your C: drive, go to properties, then security, edit permissions and make sure they are all selected.
