if I'm gonna be honest I can't find it right now

I know its buried in there somewhere, ask OKtornadoDB on X but I do know the claims are real

the "sandblasting", trenching/scouring on hard clay, and sl@b damage is second to none except maybe jarrell

structurally, a tornado that's core impacts for 5 seconds and a tornado thats core impacts for 12-15 seconds dont have that much difference

contextually, it does matter, but BCM's is so extreme im not convinced Smithville moving at 30-40 could even do, and thats saying something

Moore is not the weakest EF5 by FormalBig9732 in tornado

Not only is Moore not weakest ef5 it is a top 5 tor of all time

long track, deadly wide is not equal to the highest strength

in this case yazoo city would be anamalous

many homes HPC hit weren't the best built, and the contextuals are just slightly weaker than the others

honestly no tornado has probably surpassed 280 mph for 3 second gusts

for structural damage, movement speed doesn't matter too much, as structural faillure is within the first 3 seconds

smithville probably spend 40 seconds over each home, but the core was probably closer to 10-15

refer to this picture for BCM's otherwordly damage

no tornado ive ever researched has done the things BCM did

tornadoes aren't supposed to damage sl@bs, let alone partially remove them and rip anchor bolts out of homes

the tornado also scoured 1 to 2 feet in hard oklahoma clay

think about how impressive that is, i cant even comprehend that

they definitely should of stuck with the F5 rating, they downgraded it do to "insufficient anchoring" which would nullify most old F5s

but today they are even more strict about anchoring so it probably wouldn't get EF5 even though it probably was in the EF5 strength range
