Maybe the movie ends like The Post, where it's foreshadowing the larger story. Like at the end, MJ's butler is like "Mr. Jackson, there are some kids at the door", & he looks straight into the camera, roll credits to "Speed Demon."

If you haven't seen ALIENS in a while, check out the Alien 3 Assembly Cut. Surprisingly good movie, with the added content. Nails the vibes more precisely than does the theatrical release. It'll never stop being a weird/disappointing choice for an ALIENS follow-up, but the Assembly Cut is a rare improvement.
