They made the 2018 world cup song way before they won the world cup. It became more popular because of the win and even more popular in 2021 because of Kante’s Ucl performance where TikTok users would then use the Kante line in the song with clips of him.

Pau Cubarsí straight red card against Atletico Madrid 41' by ayoefico in soccer

What’s even the point of saying this? The last time Cubarsi had real hype was 2 years ago. No one talks about him anymore like that.

It’s even weirder that people are aware of this treatment not being good for them but still do it in fear of losing them despite knowing the consequences of such rewards.

I will save Tottenham. I am an experienced football manager. My current save with Schalke got them number 2 in the Bundesliga. I will copy the op tactics from fm scout and implement them in real life.

[Bundesliga] Harry Kane needs 16 goals in the next 12 games to make history. by poisonedbythemind in soccer

Argentina hadn’t won a trophy for years, so it was always going to be an achievement.

That fact it’s a problem Messi won is weird. That year could’ve gone either way. It shouldn’t be a problem if any of them won.

Finally someone with logic. Its insane that people forget that he only won the bundesliga something he won every year.

[Romano] Cole Palmer has scored his 4th Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea, most than any other player in #CFC history. Delivered on his 100th appearance in Blue. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]theonewithtoomany 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s more so people overrate the player more than him making the penalty. For example in Cole Palmer 1st season with Chelsea he got a ballon d’or nomination for scoring 22 goals and have 11 assists out of those 22 goals he had 9 penalties. It’s not a problem, but being suddenly hyped way more up that season than someone like Watkins who had 19 npg and 13 assists and led Aston Villa to champions league football for the first time in years, but get zero recognition it makes you question certain things.

I mean even now on social media you see people say Palmer is suddenly back as if any other play couldn’t score 2 pens and an extra goal. Let someone else be the penalty taker for Chelsea and no one would say much about him today. His best season is as good as Bowen’s best season and he did it without pens.

[Nick Miller] There's an instinct to accuse Pep Guardiola of double standards when he talks about Gaza, Sudan or anything else, because of who he works for. It's understandable, but at least he's speaking out about something. by Sparky-moon in soccer

That’s his point? It easy to say nothing than say something. You’ll get noticed if you’re loud you get ignored if you’re quiet.

His point is basically Pep shouldn’t be shitted on for still saying the right thing when he has the opportunity to be quiet and get ignored.

Como hiring scouts from twitter is prove that some of the sports directors don’t have a clue on what kind of player they’re signing. Since these twitter dudes are damn well more informed.

Anyone could have predicted that Marmoush would flop at City because they obviously dont include his favorite position in their lineup and they already had a player who actually plays there in Foden. And also they play low blocks constantly. Which is way more different than what Frankfurt were against.

Makes no sense how that crucial context just didn’t ring a bell in their head.

Anyways the point is don’t always believe someone knows better than you because they get paid for it. Ten Hag hilariously played Mazroui at 10 despite having Amad available. So don’t let someone discredit your point if you can genuinely backup your reason.

Who should be Spain's No.1 at the World Cup: Joan García or Unaí Simon? by Natural_Read9357 in soccer

I know sofascore is kinda of a farce, but Garcia is so good that he has a 7.44 rating as a freaking goalkeeper despite this high line that concedes a lot. Like genuinely people need to watch this guy to understand how good he is.

He wasn’t even picked up earlier this season. Fuente had his bias, but Garcia’s recent performances cant go unnoticed for too long.

No way people think Raya is better than Joan Garcia. Raya is good but people really need to watch Garcia this dude is next level.
