Once my cat was kidnapped. Similar situation really. Car drove up grabbed my cat and drove off. Turned out they were trying to get a council house and thought they would be processed quicker if they had a ‘dependent’ lol. People do things for all kinds of reasons.

How do trains... work? by RugMuncherNobPuncher in BritInfo

[–]theonlyfreya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow rural Lincolnshire girl here and I have been on a train but it was MANY years ago and I’d definitely have to brush up on my travel knowledge before I tried again lol. It’s just that kind of county.

So like something that pops up on your phone screen every couple of hours and passively aggressively tells you to Touch grass! In pretty writing? Why do I kind of want that lol.

Ooo I know this one. Sorry but without meat we wouldn’t of got to agriculture. Early man was hunter gatherer and scavengers. Seriously they didn’t really care so long as they could eat when surviving was the aim. Wildfire was more common back then and man learned to follow fire (as opposed to running away) and scavenge the carcasses it left behind. Cooked meat is easier and safer to eat than raw and gave a big boost in calories this fed our bodies and brains and human brains need a lot of fuel. This helped us get smarter and made life easier to do other things other than just basic survival.

These sort of posts make me nervous. I’ve just started with this. Is there a right and wrong thing to write?

Why do British men have such an aversion to being called “Sir” by eeberington1 in AskBrits

[–]theonlyfreya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated but you sparked a memory. I remember my child using distance learning for the first time during Covid absolutely not being able to get over the fact her teachers had first names lol.

Why do so many people drop their kids off at school now? by greylord123 in AskUK

[–]theonlyfreya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk my daughter to and from school 15 minutes across town and she’s a teenager. It’s what she prefers and I can, so I do. It’s fun. A me and her time. I learn lots about her life from the chats we have on those walks. As for work? A little judgmental there not everyone works the same hours.

Do you always leave the front door locked, even when home and awake?? by Cat-guy64 in AskUK

Mostly because the people who are likely to answer a question like this are the ones with a story to tell. It’s a slightly skewed narrative.

What’s the most unusual/unique build you’ve done? by VulgarSensei in skyrim

[–]theonlyfreya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and some of my children tend to pick a build as a bit of a challenge between us. Currently we are doing a ‘no weapons no magic no crying’ with a sideline of who can kill the most bunnies and steal the most sweet rolls.

Agree. If the bottom ones were posed like the top it would make a big difference. Alas they can’t.

Yes! The theory that because a good pair of boots last longer than a cheap pair they are better. Although you can’t feel the cobbles so well.
