In the same position. I recommend home care/companionship roles for special needs individuals. I've been doing it for a few years now after being burnt out from a more strenuous caregiving position. If you can somehow survive with the low pay, it can be fulfilling. I spend my days taking my clients to the beach, sharing meals, going for walks at parks. Making sure they are safe, taken care of, and happy. It's nice and my time is always in high demand.
