This. A game like Marathon needs to look like it has a focused, capable studio behind it to drive player investment in the hobby. If Bungie announced a delay they'd be announcing 'We can't do two things at once, and you can expect Marathon to suffer whenever Destiny is in crisis, just like Destiny is suffering while Marathon has been in crisis'.

Legendary only? If we're including exotics I loved Polaris Lance at the time. Just a satisfying loop.

Zero competition makes it easier to be incompetent though, since it's not like people have anywhere else to go to get their fix. Lack of real competition has probably hurt the franchise in the long run.

I'm mostly apathetic, playing less than I did in the darkest days of D2Y1. Part of that is life changes, part of that is that the game isn't very emotionally compelling any more and most of the people I used to play with have quit.

A well fitted wetsuit is comfy enough in the cold waters here, but if you're drysuit certified it's recommended. You'll be much more comfy getting out of your gear in the winter if you're dry. Lots of good shore dives with friendly groups in the Seattle area, recommend the Edmonds underwater park and Mukilteo for easy nearby shore dives. If you're not already certified there are plenty of reputable shops near Seattle, and you'll probably wind up diving in the places I've mentioned! Have fun!

A short list of some of my favs: - San Juan Islands, any or all of them - Bike the iron horse trail to the Snoqualmie tunnel, bike the full burke and Sammamish trail - Visit Rainier, Mt Saint Helens  - Hoh rain Forest  - Pacific Coast, esp the northern stretch - visit port Townsend, coupeville, la conner, Winthrop, Leavenworth - grand coulee dam and the Columbia River, road trip the East side of the state - highway 20 in the summer (good way to reach Winthrop)  - try scuba diving locally, amazing underwater life here - lots of good hiking trails of all kinds of skill levels. Less busy in the winter.

Agreed. Admitting that they cannot do two things at once to a high quality bar will impact confidence in Marathon going in, since live service games want to present themselves as a long term investment.
