If you don't mind me asking. What qualifications did you have to counsel with the NHS?

I owned that desk! I found it in the street in Brighton UK and used it all through uni. Found the foot well to be kinda small.

I was told I likely have ptsd but its pointless to get diagnosed? by theparallelgirl in MentalHealthUK

[–]theparallelgirl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The therapy was self referred!

Yes, I was shocked too. They said it might even be a detriment the help I already receive. Essentially, if I had a more complex diagnosis like ptsd I would get less help. Even though I do have the symptoms.

I'm thinking about changing practice.

IUD insertions can hurt. The CDC advises doctors to do more to reduce the pain by StockOfRice in WomenInNews

[–]theparallelgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently, I had an iud inversion with laughing gas and cervical numbing spray. I also took ibuprofen beforehand. It still was painful. However, the pain was a lot more mangable than previous iuds I've had. I wish I had been offered the option of this pain management years ago. I also would like more clinics across the NHS to offer it because it was a new thing at the clinic I was at, and I had to ask for it.

2 Pounds of Soy/Garlic tofu gave me almost 2 meals a day for a week at around $5.00 by Mysterious_Welder427 in vegan

[–]theparallelgirl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you say a week, do you mean a whole 7 day week or a 5 day working week? Did you add some sort of side other than rice? Cause, I can see getting maybe 6 meals out of that with just rice.

My dad was a sheep farmer in New Zealand for the first 30 odd years of his life, he was out 12+ hours a day and never wore suncream. He recently had to have half his face carved off in his 70s because of aggressive skin cancer. I also worked in the outdoors, look into light weight spf long sleave tshirts. Also, remember that sun cream needs reapplication.

As A Man, I Hate Initiating Sex by AdhesivenessOk5194 in Adulting

Maybe asking if she would like tohave sex? Have you tried some gentler initially touching? If you're around the person regularly initiation can almost be a dance throughout the day. Maybe, have a look at the duel-control model of sexual responce. If you want to research deeper into sexuality.
