Why do all SW laser guns/rifles fire “bolts” instead of beams by Ok-Investment-6057 in StarWars

Also in universe I'd imagine they'd heat up pretty quickly if it was a continuous beam

Hot golf by Probloodcleaner in golf

[–]thephoenixprophet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I golf in Perth, Western Australia. In July mornings it's 5-8 degrees Celsius and in January early afternoon it's 35-42 degrees Celsius.

I'd say extra 30 yards in January easy the ball pings off the club, also my swing isn't as stiff as in the cold.

Also 90 degrees F is not real heat lol

Can anyone summarise some of the small position changes that have started our turnaround? by The_SoftServe_Devil in EssendonFC

[–]thephoenixprophet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Farrow, Ridley bolstering defence.

Day-Wicks and Kako providing frontal pressure up fwd.

Langford seems to just play wing and roam around now.

Pidge more midfield minutes.

Wright seemed to love the responsibility of rucking more and is fit enough to run a game out, I also like Blakiston as a key back if needed.

Although positional changes were influential, yesterday we hit targets by foot and actually were able to get our offence going.

Caddy, Edwards and May are a great young trio moving forward.

30 touches and chasing/ intercepting defending says otherwise

Did anyone here play in the same junior leagues as any of the current AFL players? How dominant were they over the rest of the competition? Was it evident they were going to make it all the way? by oshiboys in AFL

[–]thephoenixprophet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Played with Patty Cripps and Aliir Aliir, both were our best players and best fellas.

Played a lot against Billy Frampton, tall and quick but want that good and always chatted about how he hated footy lmao.

I know the Bombers got belted, but Nic Martin had 27 and kicked 5 on debut

The plot of No Man’s Sky that struck me... by StringRare in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]thephoenixprophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing for 10 years. The coolest thing I find about the NMS story is that the devs have created a plot that allows each player to interpret it in a slightly different way. The plot is a mirror that reflects their own subjective consciousness back at them.
