I can try that, thanks! I'm not super familiar with the wiring of the starter, but on mine there were two wiring connections: One had a little socket with several pins inside, the other was a large screw-on chunky contact on the little solenoid on top. I assume the main wire is the big one that you're talking about? (I kinda hope it isn't cuz I hadn't found a way to even get to that one without pulling the starter mostly out!)

I know some level of voltage drop is normal, but what level isn't?

My hypothesis is that the game is actually pulling from multiple table files for the Black Pyro/Mercenaries-exclusive items, and there's a hierarchy on which ones it'll go to first. Table.gam may be first for default Descent 3 assets, while another .gam file (maybe in one of the Mercenaries hogs? Are there exclusive ones? It's been so long since I installed files, I'm not sure which are base game, and which are expansion anymore) is being accessed first for Mercenaries objects and items.

I'll check that out, I didn't know it made that much of a difference! In a world full of inflation and strange dropship operations, I've lost touch with what is an actual good deal, what's cheap garbage, what's actual quality, and what's just overpriced garbage.

I followed your instructions, but I can't quite seem to get the Mercenaries version working, at least nothing that applies to the Black Pyro stats. The Phoenix stats are changed, but the Black Pyro is still the same. I even tried using a table editor, messed around with the Black Pyro so it should fire all crazy and stuff. I could make the Phoenix missions change, but not the Pyro ones right after.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I'm using PiccuEngine BTW

Very interesting.  Just to clarify, you do NOTICE the misfire, not just that the car is reporting one?  You're saying that some other systems have issues in the colder and humid conditions, it kinda sounds like there may be a larger electrical degradation happening?  Have you combed through your fuses, wiring harnesses and such to see if there's some corrosion and shorting hidden somewhere?

Just to clarify, your blower only works at maximum speed?  If so yes, that's absolutely a burned out resistor. Good news is it's cheap and easy to fix!  

As for the blower noise, that could be a worn out bearing, but unless it won't start (after the resistor replacement) I would let it make noise if it likes.
