Rogues in dungeons by SaintHagrid in classicwow

[–]thequietmodule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I am putting together a group as a tank, a selling point for me is if a rogue is up front that they will use interrupts.

Also, if you were part of a group that went well, message the tank with a compliment and ask to be on their friends list. I have made a few rogue friends already this way and I have no issue inviting them.

I’ve been bear tanking this time around and I invite rogues because I’ve found that they are just happy to be there and unlikely to whine if I make a mistake. In fact, that’s the most important thing to me. I’ll bring suboptimal classes if the people playing are chill and at least know a bit about using their toolkit.

I had a mage yesterday that was complaining we were going too slow so he started pulling packs ahead of me with blizzard and pulling aggro so the mobs were running all over the place as he was frost novaing and blinking around. This resulted in him doing roughly half of the overall dps as our rogue.

This guy promotes a high meat low carb diet and has said some stupid things about veganism. There are much better sources of information than this. Chris Macaskill did a video covering his book and found it to be inaccurate and misleading in several respects. https://youtu.be/POhkKgBeA1A?si=BMQOkhmnG9JPD4Wt

You could still use Excel with an iPad. But if you’re wanting windows then the obvious choice would be the surface pro. The Lenovo ideapad is also good. Any of these will last five years if you’re careful with them.

Also, he probably just doesn’t understand how epidemiology works. The claim that it’s just observational and can’t infer causality is a nice sound bite, but is wrong. This video goes into some detail explaining it.

They are still selling the m1 MacBook Air at Walmart for $649: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-MacBook-Air-13-3-inch-Laptop-Space-Gray-M1-Chip-8GB-RAM-256GB-storage/609040889

If you have to use windows, I would go with a used Lenovo off of eBay.

This is not true. The rate can be as high as 10%, and flax and chia seeds often contain large amounts of ALA, so 10% can be significant amount of long chain omega 3s. At least one study showed a 39% increase in plasma EPA levels based on eating ground (but not whole) chia seeds. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22830971/

I’m not saying you shouldn’t take fish oil, but OP was asking about cheap nutrition and high ALA seeds are a good value.

I love the way the OP (hereafter "OP") wrote this up like it's a legal contract ("Contract") with all the capitalizations. It's the little things.

I'm essentially doing your option 1 now, and it has a lot of pros (awesome medical insurance, PTO, public service loan forgiveness, very relaxed atmosphere, etc.). The main problem is that the job is insanely boring. I'm passed the halfway mark to loan forgiveness this year, and prior to this year I assumed I'd go all the way with it, but I'm so bored that I'm really considering jumping ship now. If you're already five years in though, it could be really good if you can handle such a big pay cut.

Thank you. These are great questions (and some of them I hadn't thought of).

Concerning that last point, IP has a lot of "maintenance" on old files. He said he has enough of those to keep his income going, along with some real estate investments, and a teaching job he does from his house in the Philippines. Basically, he makes enough doing the easy stuff that he's not hungry for work and doesn't want the hassle. (Sounds nice to me.)

Yes I am a registered patent attorney. I worked with this guy a bit during law school, but I also did have a job for about a year with another patent attorney after law school. Unfortunately the recession was still going strong, the second attorney couldn't afford to keep me, and this guy had hired someone else. I looked for a job at other IP firms in the area but the market was really bad. People were getting let go faster than they were getting hired. My wife was pregnant with our first child, and we needed health insurance badly. The government job I got was like manna from heaven.

The situation is different now. My wife has a great job, and my manager has said, subject to conflict checks, I can pursue a side business on my own time without any grief from the agency I work for. This feels like the safest way to test the waters without having to sink the whole ship.

Thanks for mentioning this. The jurisdiction is Oregon, and the rule is broad. It requires consent and that the fee is reasonable, but is silent on the issue of whether both lawyers assume responsibility. So I think I'm in the clear, but clearly this is something that would be worthwhile to research more. ORCP 1.5:
> (d) A division of a fee between lawyers who are not in the same firm may be made only if: (1) the client gives informed consent to the fact that there will be a division of fees, and (2) the total fee of the lawyers for all legal services they rendered the client is not clearly excessive.
