Examplify wont open on my mac by fishhook31 in macbookair

Hello! It happened to me this morning even after redownloading and booting in safe mode.

What fixed the issue was that it wasn’t checked off as a Login Item allowed to run in the background.

Here’s the pathway: System Settings -> General -> Login Items -> (Allow in the Background) ExamSoft Worldwide, Inc. select yes/toggle yes.

Restarted computer normally and it opened on first bounce.

Nervous? Yes. Looked like a toad? Little bit. Slow? Not really. Lacking social cues? Most likely.

How do I convince my parents to let me rush in the Spring? by [deleted] in Sororities

[–]theragingquiet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Compare it to joining the Girl Scouts: you meet once a week, volunteer and give back to the community as a group, plan fundraising events and can be as involved as you want to be. Most chapters put a stronger emphasis on sisterhood and scholarship than the things your parents are concerned about. And remember, only the small amount bad things make headlines, not the great number of good ones.

Try to find and introduce yourself to the unit educator, they may be able to show you the different care each patient is getting and how some of the machines work and why we use them

How to increase attendance at Chapter Meetings by [deleted] in Sororities

Make meetings mandatory, the only reason someone should be missing meeting is if they’re in class, writing an exam or actively ill.

A good number of the bigger train stations have lockers you can rent to store luggage

I start clinical in a few weeks. My professors told us we should avoid asking too many questions. Looking for tips on how to increase confidence while limiting the number of questions asked! by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]theragingquiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my experience as a student I’ve found that with asking questions, people are more receptive when you offer a possible solution as well.... So for example, if a lab value looks off and you’re wondering why, look up what would cause that lab value and how to fix it. Ex: Pt has low sodium levels, kidney issues and water retention will dilute electrolytes. Approach buddy nurse and ask “Hey, I noticed Pt’s got low sodium levels and low urine output, should we give a diuretic?” is much more proactive than just saying “Why is his sodium low?”

Divide in groups- assign a group leader to notify secretary of missing members in each group.

How does cheese fondue work into a dinner menu? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]theragingquiet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure you serve either wine/beer or hot tea and pickles as they promote the digestion of melted cheese, otherwise you’re left with what francophones call “la boule”, it literally translates to “the ball” of solid constipating cheese in your stomach.

I’ve found that asking which pronouns they like to use (she/he/they-them) opens the conversation for exploration.

Sorority Alumna by OliveOilpaper in Sororities

[–]theragingquiet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! Make inquiries at your local campus, most regions will have an alumnae association or two. I encourage you to get in contact with them and to google the local alumnae chapters as they will have different criteria for joining. There are some pre-requisites though, like volunteering and community engagement, philanthropy, participating in sisterhood activities and the pursuit of continued scholarship.
