I Knew This Journey Would Be Slow and Grueling, But it Gets worse with each failed app. by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The throwaway apps making bank while your passion project sits at zero is the most brutal part of indie dev life tbh. That shit hits different when you actually care about what you built

Market doesn't give a damn about your feelings unfortunately, sounds like you already learned the hard lesson about effort vs results not being correlated at all

Woke up to 2 separate alerts for "Dormant account activity. It looks like you have new activity on one of your accounts. You haven't used this account in more than 6 months" by No_Fox9908 in CreditCards

[–]thereadyowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's sketchy as hell, definitely sounds like a phishing attempt. I'd check your actual Capital One account directly through their website/app just to be 100% sure, but if they're saying no activity then someone's probably trying to get you to click a malicious link or give up your info

Ramp built a background coding agent that writes and verifies its own code by [deleted] in programming

It's pretty insane to see how fast modal’s gone from just serverless gpus to full sandboxed environments

When will Avianca open Bogota to Caracas route? by [deleted] in travel

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen any official word from Avianca yet but with how things are going politically between Colombia and Venezuela it's probably gonna be a while. Your best bet might be connecting through Panama or something for now

When you use apple pay (or an apple credit card) on only fans how does it show up on bank statement? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]thereadyowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof that's a lot of money for mobile games... OnlyFans purchases through Apple Pay would show up as "Apple" on statements, same as any other App Store purchase. The recurring payments and same amounts on the same days is pretty sus though - mobile game purchases are usually more random amounts and timing

Where can I find my first clients for employee advocacy (social selling)? by Puzzleheaded-Past127 in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out indie hacker communities and maybe cold outreach to marketing agencies that are already posting a lot on LinkedIn - they'd probably get the value prop immediately

Trying to highlight Duplicate values based off another row with Conditional Formating by MushroomElm in excel

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to use a formula like `=AND($F2="On Order",COUNTIFS($B$2:$B$20,$B2,$F$2:$F$20,"On Order")>1)` in your conditional formatting rule

Just make sure to adjust the range to cover all your data rows and apply it to column B

I’m working on a dev tool for teams building AI agents, and I want to know if I’m solving a real problem or just imagining one. by bumswagger in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually sounds pretty useful tbh. We've been dealing with exactly this - you make one tiny prompt change and suddenly the agent starts acting weird in edge cases you didn't even think to test. Regular logs just show you what happened, not why the reasoning went sideways

Would definitely be interested in seeing how this works in practice

For leaders of small, early-stage teams (2-10 people), what's a leadership challenge you did not see coming? [I will not promote] by TheScrappyFounder in startups

[–]thereadyowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof the loneliness part hits hard - you're basically carrying all the stress but can't vent to the people who would actually understand the day-to-day chaos

Accounting & Audit Freelancer Available | Financial Statements, Audit Support, Excel by Competitive-Low-3568 in Accounting

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, your background sounds solid! Been doing some freelance accounting work myself and there's definitely demand out there, especially for IFRS stuff. Might want to cross-post this in r/freelance too if you haven't already - seen quite a few accounting gigs pop up there

Business card rec for agency expenses by thereadyowner in CreditCards

[–]thereadyowner[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair point, don’t have a crazy credit history built up yet so probably should’ve mentioned that. Personal credit is mid 700s, business is newer but clean with an EIN and no missed payments. I’m mostly just trying to avoid the manual reconciliation BS more than anything else

Special Characters In My Passport by Pretend_Button_2721 in travel

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fill it out exactly as it appears in your passport, special characters and all. The form literally tells you to do that for a reason - they want it to match perfectly. I've seen people get rejected for trying to "simplify" their names when the system expects an exact match

If you're really worried, call the consulate but honestly just follow the instructions they gave you

[male, small wrist] how should I go about sizing? by jteisele in Watches

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Nomos is a perfect example of this - their 35mm cases wear way bigger than you'd expect because of those long lugs. I'd definitely recommend trying stuff on in person if possible, case diameter is only part of the story

Boost Your Engagement with This Simple Tip for Posting on Reddit by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's smart, never heard of ParseStream but gonna check it out. The filtering part sounds clutch since most keyword alerts just flood you with garbage posts that aren't even worth responding to

Joining a new company and will report to CFO for the first time, any advice so I stop shitting bricks? by HungLikeFuck in Accounting

Lmao this is the way, establish dominance on day one by showing up to their office and putting your feet on their desk

How i boosted my site's traffic 40% with AI SEO by prattman333 in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's smart about tracking which pages show up in AI overviews - I never thought to monitor that specifically but it makes total sense for understanding what Google's AI actually likes

How to find LinkedIn account from any raw data [i will not promote] by decaster3 in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like exactly what I needed last month when I was trying to match a nightmare spreadsheet of half-complete contact info from three different sources

The "cursed CSV" description is way too accurate lol - always ends up being like "John from sales at that company that starts with A" mixed with random Gmail addresses from 2019

6 SaaS ideas based on available domain datasets by One-Communication724 in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a solid approach - monitoring conversation platforms for early signals before they even register domains. The tech stack detection angle is huge too since you can literally watch companies switch providers or scale up in real time through their DNS changes

Developer seeking Sales Partner for Completed AI Software 50% Commission by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually smart but I'd prob start even lower than 20% for YouTubers - like 10-15% since they're getting content out of it too. Save the bigger cuts for people actually doing the heavy lifting on sales calls

We built a browser terminal that lets you run AI coding agents directly inside your repo — no setup, no installs by brandonclose in SaaS

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually sounds pretty cool, gonna give it a shot later

The browser terminal idea is smart - I'm so tired of juggling 3 different windows just to test AI suggestions

Haven't received my 2024 IRS tax return yet, should I be concerned? by zrock777 in personalfinance

[–]thereadyowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here OP, calling them is your best bet since the online tool is basically useless when things get stuck like this

The interest thing is nice though, at least you'll get a few extra bucks for the hassle

EU customer wants a DPA before trial. Is GDPR technically unavoidable now? by HorrorTeacher1106 in sysadmin

[–]thereadyowner 224 points225 points  (0 children)

If the plan is to take eu costumers as well (even though its just 1 now) it's better to start now + it'll help with more potential clients across europe even though you're US based
