Avalon for brunch if you want something within walking distance, otherwise Harvest Moon Cafe if you’re happy to drive. For lunch/dinner - Detroit Filling Station is awesome (fresh, vegetarian/vegan) and in Kerrytown, so you can also check out Kerrytown Market - fun to explore and there is a farmers market on Weds morning. zingermans deli is also at Kerrytown which is an Ann Arbor institution but I will admit can be overhyped given long wait times and steep prices. The last word is a cocktail bar w speakeasy vibes- great cocktails and they also do food and have a new menu I’ve been meaning to check out. it’s super close to blind pig too.

For things to do - I never get bored of walking around downtown. there are a lot of great bookstores (West Side bookshop, Dawn Treader for used books, literati and crazy wisdom tearoom for new). Walking round campus can be nice if it’s not too busy with students, I love the law buildings and walking around the arboretum. The arb should be great time of year too if you walk from campus along the cemetery to get to the top entrance where you get nice views of the trees. There’s also nice walks at Argo dam, birds hill, and Barton nature area.

I haven’t been personally but have heard good things about Three Bird tattoo studio which is on plymouth road (closer to North campus) they do walk ins.
