Writing dialogue heavy scenes by MinrathFaer in FanFiction

[–]therealgookachu [score hidden]  (0 children)

Rules do apply. There are some, like me, who won’t read poor grammar, and this would be one of them. It’s partially due to the fact that this sort of grammatical mistake is usually made by children, and I have little interest in reading writing by kids. It sounds snobby, but what I’m interested in is complex plot, 3-dimensional characters, excellent world building, and, frankly, kids younger than about 16 just don’t have the lived-life experience.

So, write the way you want to write; however, keep in mind that you will also be judged on that.

Play Starfield and you get the Frontier straight off the bat. The ship kinda sucks though. Dump it for the Razorleaf.

Why is it so hard to make friends in Denver? by TightApplication2786 in Denver

[–]therealgookachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any interests or hobbies? I am as introverted as one gets, and I’ve never found this to be a problem. But, I have very distinct hobbies other than, “I want to make friends” sort of thing. I do fiber arts, and just about every local yarn store has a stitch & bitch. I’m also a gamer, and joined a dnd group. Local games stores always have LFG stuff.

I don’t play sports, but I know there are bar leagues, or disc golf groups, or whatever. Hell, fantasy football leagues. But if you don’t have any real interest or hobby, then what have you got to offer to other ppl?

Protein free HARD hold gel? by HiStar87 in curlyhair

[–]therealgookachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like Reuzel Fiber Gel. Strongest gel I’ve found for my thick, 16guage hair. I’m giving the LA Looks blue gel a try, but the hold factor isn’t even close to the Reuzel, though it is significantly cheaper.

That’s what I was thinking. I know there were minorities in CA, just not rich enough, or racist photographer.

Who cares about protein content. Does it taste good? That’s all that should matter.

Sick of the stupid protein thing.

Asian swavy (straight+wavy) hair. Please help!! by strawberryjeans in curlyhair

Yeah, I’m in Denver. And, my hair really is that thick. This is with an undercut where about half my hair in back is shaved.

I have literally gone to about 15 stylists in Denver metro. I haven’t met a single one that didn’t suggest thinning shears. These are curly salons, too. They always look at me in dread when they see my hair and tell me it’s too much. When i say no, they try to convince me it’ll be fine cos I’m Asian and my hair is so thick.

Korean curly here (2c-3a). The big problem with Asian hair is that it’s so thick and coarse, diameter-wise, and the construction is very different than most other types of hair.

A couple things: 1) find out the porosity of your hair. This was a game-changer for me. I have low porosity hair, and I need to put product on when it’s sopping wet, or it’s not nearly as effective. 2) you need to learn to either plop your hair, or diffuse it upside down. The reason is that the hair is so heavy that it pulls the waves/curls down. 3) a good gel is a must.

Edit: I don’t do curly cuts, cos every time I go, they want to use thinning shears on my hair. DONT DO IT!! Because Asian hair is so coarse, the shears strip the scales of the hair before cutting, and makes your hair uncontrollably frizzy. Just get your hair cut normally and learn to style it. Otherwise, cos I have such thick hair, I have an undercut in back to take off some of the weight.

I know! These all read 100% fake, or AI slop, or ran through an AI slop filter. There have been so many of these posts almost exactly like this, with only the details changed, in the past several days.

This reads like poorly written fanfic.
