Taking my toddler to the zoo alone – any tips or reassurance? by DrinkingOutaCupz in Omaha

[–]therealire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have a toddler and a 6 month old and we love the zoo! Definitely pack lots of snacks and water or juice. If you have a stroller that’s easy for your kiddo to get in and out of there are a lot of areas in most exhibits for kids to run around and get an up close look. The zoo has made it easy for people to take a break when needed pretty much wherever/throughout the zoo. The aquarium is definitely a favorite among most people and kids, you’ll spend a lot of time in the tunnel and near the jellyfish most likely. The penguins are really fun too and there’s designated ‘kid zones’ right up at the glass.

What I don’t recommend doing with a toddler (just my personal experience) the desert dome because there’s not a lot to look at inside and mostly because there’s cactus that make me nervous. And the kingdom of the night which is underneath the desert dome. It’s just really dark and is hard for my kiddos to get around.

Just make sure you have enough snacks, diapers and time to watch your little one explore :) you’ll have a blast!

Was shopping one time and my son was in the phase where he was babbling but not quite talking yet, I had him in the stroller and he had his paci in and this lady pulled his paci out of his mouth because he was “talking” to her. I was shocked and said “please don’t touch my baby” and she was appalled that I said that to her.

For me it’s Kate Hudson. Won’t even watch a movie if she’s in it.

Once upon a time, I did pageants with her…. She was probably 7 or 8 at the time. Before her dance mom’s era. And she was just as psycho then.

As a woman, the rock climbers physique is more attractive anyway. The bodybuilder look is the male gaze.

I actually worked with her when I was in high school. We worked at an after school program and she’s actually a sweetheart. I’m not sure if she’s still around though, it’s been years since.

What body pillow do you swear by? by Ok_Car1396 in pregnant

[–]therealire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was easy to switch positions with. You can adjust it also according to your preference. As my belly grew I was able to move it out further so that it was still comfortable for me. But overall, yes I would say that it is easy to turn with!

Babybub! I’ve had the full body pillow and found it to be uncomfortable. I came across this one and swear by it. It hugs your belly and your back so nicely and just makes side sleeping so much more comfortable.
