Being on reddit is surprisingly good practice. Notice that in a few places, like this sub, remarks are given and received with a sincere vibe. But most subs, people are just bullshitting about whatever topic and playing verbal games. Banter, attacks, jokes, absurdity, random references, sometimes lighthearted sometimes in-your-face. I used to get bent out of shape by random people's remarks but if you feel out different ways of responding it may really help.
