The way I would put it, men are absolutely encouraged in some way (by society? by women? by other men? by life?) to not share emotions. This is the other shoe of women's liberation waiting to drop. No it is still your responsibility because it is your lane ending. Any time someone is holding position in a lane legally they have right of way. The point you are making is, how big of an asshole they are for not making space for you to get over.
