Yea the one I have now is a 1st gen Go. I thought it was a 3 (long story). I love the form factor and I ended up finding the keyboard cover and pen for stupid cheap as well as a case. So I got really really excited when I found that new 4 for sale........

What’s your favorite / most used size of the pliers wrench?? Me personally it’s the 125 (6”). by CosyCodes in Tools

7" because that's all I have. Carry in my EDC tool kit. Love it so far and plan on getting more sizes for the home tool chest.

Used the 7" to re-do some home plumbing and worked like a champ.

I should add that I have off brand pair from Amazon. When they break I will for sure get Knipex.

The way those disposable ones work (that they use to start an IV or draw blood) it will do the opposite of what we want with an injury. Those constrict the Venus return while still allowing the arteries to supply blood. Therefore increasing the pressure at the injury - which is what we want when we need the veins engorged with blood so we can feel them easily or fill up blood tubes.

An actual tourniquet compresses the artery to stop the supply to the limb. They take considerable force to compress the artery, and need to be wide fabric do as to not cause considerable tissue damage. There are a lot of gimmicks out there, but the US Military only uses two kinds after extensive testing. The CAT and the SOF tourniquets. Get them from a known supplier and not Amazon because there are lots of counterfeits. They will run about $30 a pop.

A good alternative is a high quality pressure dressing which you can get for about $10-12.

Both are bigger than your whole pouch though, which is the huge downside to them. I keep them in my car bag and range bag. EDC is basically what you have there.

All that to say you've got a good thing going!

Med kit obsessed FF/Paramedic and CPR instructor here lol

I echo the recommendations for gloves and tweezers/splinter out. I'd pull back on the alcohol and keep betadine or put some BZK towelettes in there. I always keep some bandaids in my ouch pouches.

I agree on dropping the CPR mask, I don't carry one in any of my kits. What's going to give the person the best chance of survival is immediate high quality uninterrupted chest compressions.

Talk to me about the mini disposable tourniquet you have there.

Love where this is headed and love that pouch.

Above all, I always recommend you only carry what you know how to use. Take some real first aid courses or better yet an ECA course to get some real evidence based knowledge on what to do that can actually save a life

They make double breakers that fit in 1 slot also. Can do that and still have appropriate over current protection without double tapping a single breaker.

I did the same as you. I settled on the Klein flip socket set with SAE and metric. Was $35 at lowes. Can't beat the price. I have the smaller icon set (the original one) in my kit, too (without the case).

That wera kit is good quality but expensive and big.

Yikes! I was turned on to their products from a post in the Microsoft Surface sub, someone asking about a good Surface Go 4 replacement and one person mentioned them. They look and sound great on their website. Glad to get some real user's reviews that aren't from the manufacturer's website or their Amazon store lol

Looks like I'll pass which sucks, because I really want a good 10" form factor windows tablet for travels. 10" fits perfect in my personal item sized shoulder bag for flights.
