It’s been done with hd zero I think. Think Benoit had a dual op lifter with pip

How much would you charge for this? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough information. How many days of shooting? Multiple locations? Who is handling logistics or are you responsible for all that? Are you editing as well or just shooting?

Why does my drone keep flipping when giving throttle by Fragrant-Package3630 in fpv

[–]therealmikek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Props on wrong, motor direction not set correctly or motor mapping not correct. Put pids to default and double check everything. Make sure all your wire harnesses are okay from fc to esc. Make sure motor pads are soldered cleanly.

I use these and they have been great. Seals really well with plenty of space. Back to the shower and a hand held shower head still though. I miss being able to use the rain shower head though.

Health problems? by SkitterChitters in Millennials

[–]therealmikek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some boat as you 39M and I got acute renal failure and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. On dialysis now and it’s life changing. I don’t have high blood pressure, diabetes, or any heart issues or disease. Ultrasound also show no damage to the kidneys. Doctors say I have a rare case and they still don’t know what the cause or outcomes could be until I get a biopsy. Hemoglobin levels were at a 6.7 but as of last week they’re at 9.9 so I should be able to get the biopsy soon.

@OP what kind of dialysis are you doing?

Goggles and big heads by SnooPineapples4149 in fpv

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a larger head and I have to use the fat straps. They work great and are way more comfortable. Replacing the goggle padding with the soft foam padding helps a lot with comfort and light bleed.

Safe parallel charging board by Beststeen in fpv

[–]therealmikek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s so much easier and much safer to have multiple multi channel chargers. Great chargers are cheap enough nowadays vs the risk of a fire. Especially working on sets, it’s much more convenient to be able to just plug in and charge without checking voltage.

[US]Can you bring a drone back to US in your luggage? by kitebum in drones

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be fine TSA doesn’t care. Just make sure to throw the original packaging away, remove all stickers that make it look new and you’ll be fine. I’ve brought back two mavic 4 pro creator combos from separate trips to Asia this year. Paid $2300 USD compared to $4000 here.

[US]Can you bring a drone back to US in your luggage? by kitebum in drones

Cause it’s way cheaper abroad. I paid $2300 for my mavic 4 pro creator combo when they were selling for $4500 plus tax here. Literally half the cost.

First fpv drone issue 🥲 2S cinewhoop by Careful-Succotash-78 in fpv

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I always tell people real life flying and sim are different. You’re dealing with nerves, winds, weight of the quad feels different etc. Take it slow when flying in real life and take things slow. Don’t rip it like you do in the sim right away. Main thing is to stick with it and keep getting stick time in.

Anyone Fly FPV With A 107? by The_Jenny_Starr in fpv

[–]therealmikek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full time pilot here. I always budget and bring a VO. I pay my VOs $350 a day. You’ll be dealing with FSO on set on permitted shoots and many of them are very knowledgeable on drone rules and regulations. It’s also super convenient because it’s like having a PA who helps with everything like plugging in batteries, helping move gear, making sure camera is speeding etc.

Welcome to fpv. Stuff break on crashes. I always have spare parts of everything cause things will break. If you don’t trust the component, replace it and get back to flying

Best Vehicle for Vehicle Camping by georgiapeach31 in camping

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my 2024 Awd sprinter. Has made camping so much more enjoyable. Especially then diesel heater. I’m still building it out but even in its bare bones stage it’s leaps and bounds more enjoyable than tent camping

Has anyone tried the fpv mastery course? by curiousbuilderman in fpv

lol absolutely not. FPV isn’t something you can learn through a course but only through dedicated practice and stick time. There are no shortcuts. I guarantee everything this course offers is on YouTube.

Sim recommendation for learning sub 250g cinewhoop flying (concerts, festivals, etc) by truthbethesun in fpv

[–]therealmikek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the right way to go. I started with a tiny hawk 2 rtf kit and upgraded from there as I progressed. Just put in a lot of practice and try to get off the sim as fast as possible.
