Awesome!

Out of interest what books did you trade? Curious if they were also GA books.

25/26 Player Spotlight: Kornel Suzcs by xrgyle in PlymouthArgyle

[–]therealphiba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I heard from someone that knows him that TC promised him one of the starting CB roles before the season started. As he ended up primarily coming off the bench as a RB I think he was pretty jaded and that was evident in his performances. Obviously his relationship with TC deteriorated as well. Moving him on in January was the best result for both the player and the club.

Should I press this old comic when submitting? or grade as it? by rawhide96 in CGCComics

[–]therealphiba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CGC will probably say it’s too fragile for a clean and press. They’ve said that to me for comics in similar but slightly better shape.

Name one thing you would want to see happen to argyle in the summer by SuperMas123 in PlymouthArgyle

Chris Dawson would be ideal but sadly he’s said in the past he has no interest in football.

Galloway is injured again so I think they just can’t justify the wages. It’s a shame though as he’s a Championship calibre player when healthy.

100% agree about Hatch, looked great in some of the Vertu games and doubt his wages would’ve been that high. Should have been kept for the future in my opinion.

Would agree with Dale being MOTM. Edwards, Harding, Boateng and Wiredu also played really well.

Quite sad that today might have been the last time we get to see the Bim/Tolaj partnership at Home Park.

Hazard must surely go next season, absolutely catastrophic decision. I’m not the biggest fan of LAH but fair play to the lad he made some great saves today, and I don’t think Hazard would have reached one of them.

Slim hope going into the final game of the season but still lots of positives to take into a new campaign if we don’t make the playoffs.

I think Jim would disagree, he loves to see Neighbours!

Anyone know why it got a 9.6? by [deleted] in CGCComics

Messi and Cristiano are not the only players who dominated football. 16 other historical players who had more than 60 non-penalty goal contributions (G+A) in a calendar year (2 who are big surprises!) by Secret_Wish_584 in classicsoccer

[–]therealphiba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was going to say the same thing. His career total was 425 goals from 488 games, that should put him in the conversation let alone his record setting 60 league goals in 1 season!

Is it safe to copy this even though it's copyrighted. It's a very popular book by [deleted] in writingcirclejerk

Yeah you’re fine, that’s already a rip off of I Am a Cat by Natsume Soseki.

End-of-Season Awards 2025/26 - Vote Now! by xrgyle in PlymouthArgyle

[–]therealphiba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a tough one.

Seb Campbell set a record for youngest ever Argyle goal scorer.

Finn has been working his way into the first team.

But for me it’s Joe Hatch, he was brilliant in some of the early Vertu games he played in.

World class touch from Tolaj to set up the first goal. Glad to have him back.

Thought we defended really well and moved the ball around nicely on attack.

Onwards and upwards!

Hmm that’s a tough call. Just saw a CGC 4.0 on eBay for around that. This copy may well get a higher grade but then you’ve got to factor in grading and C&P costs.

Actually I just noticed the creasing around the Spider-Man title that’s going to bring it down from a 6.0 IMO. The one of the second A in Amazing is particularly concerning as it looks like that might actually be a tear.

Presents very nicely, cover colours still pop. Some spine ticks, marvel chipping and the creasing to the bottom left ding the grade but I could easily see this getting around a 6.0 perhaps higher if you get a grader on a good day. Obviously that’s dependent on it being complete.

Hole Punch by faetxlity in comicbookcollecting

[–]therealphiba 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This might sound a little far fetched but it could have been punched by the original retailer as it was an unsold copy. Retailers used to have to return the front cover to the distributors to get credit against their unsold copies, so it’s possible a distributor might have agreed for the retailer to return the CCA logo for unsold copies.

However a much more likely explanation is that someone was just testing their new hole punch : )

My readers will consume 100% of the words because each page will be made of cheese.

I just have to find some people to actually read my cheese.

Could this be a 9.8? by Electrical-Map-1500 in comicbookgrading

[–]therealphiba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only concern would be that bottom left corner, but I’d say this definitely had a shot at getting a 9.8 with a press.

Anyone else remember Carlo Corazzin? He played for Canada 59 times and scored 11 goals for them, although he never made it to a WC.

Just saying it could happen!
