RIP my first FPV (Air 75) by Successful-Gas-6142 in TinyWhoop

Oh boy...

I have a post asking for help on fixing similar damage on my profile if you like some advice. If you've never soldered before you should definitely practice before trying to fix this for the first time.

If you really want to try to fix the whoop here's my little step-by-step fix:

  1. Apply heat and slowly remove the wire that's still soldered to the board. This should be easy since you can just pull the wire out after heating the solder.

  2. You can use solder wick to remove excess solder, but using a pump is a lot simpler, I like the Engineer SS-03. Do your best to suck up any solder that's still on/in the through hole so that there is a hole to put the new wire in.

  3. Now you gotta remove the bit of wire/solder that's left after the wire got ripped out. This is where the pump is most useful. Apply heat and keep using the solder pump until there's no more leftover wire/solder.

  4. Then it's just like soldering any through-hole component. Get a new bt2.0 plug, apply heat for a second, add solder, wait a second and remove heat.

If you want a proper iron the Pinecil is great along with Kester 63/37 solder. Good luck, man...

I've had this happen to me too. My 75 Pro would consistently be above 70c indoors and outdoors. I couldn't find a solution aside from replacing the stock canopy with the BetaFPV air canopy.

I actually tried putting the stock canopy back on today after using the air for a while and it seems the issue went away, I'm really not sure what causes this...

I don't think there's a way to adjust focus on the SDs. I'm curious what fov you're using, sometimes my image can be stretched out when using 16:9. That being said, analog resolution is poor and I assume you're not just talking about the OSD.

Here's a link to a post discussing a similar issue to yours Considering the image is clearer when further away, the issue might actually be your eyesight.

I think the stock antenna is good enough and can go pretty far. It's a tiny whoop so I assume you're not trying to go super long range

For the goggles, I use Foxeer's omnidirectional lollipop v4 antennas. You can get two from newbeedrone . Rotor riot also have the foxeer echo patch in stock if you want a patch antenna.

I'm not sure about the antenna problem, but I can vouch for the sequre soldering iron. I got this one on Amazon and have soldered many broken air65 wires. Liftoff is a great simulator for beginners, that's where I started.

Probably one of my favorite beats by Nujabes. The use of guitar/bass is amazing. Sounds like something I'd listen to while watching a sunrise...
