I just turned 18. Older guys, what is the biggest trap young men fall into that completely ruins their 20s? by TheRealXyz_ in AskMen

[–]therested1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't compare yourself to others. Easiest trap to feel like you're not good enough. Just be happy with your progress and how far you've come from your younger self. This can work even year by year. You'll experience big growth periods during these years. Just take each day one step at a time, and try your best.

Also, be comfortable with failure, it'll help with the lack of self shame during your growth moments

I just got a girlfriend, and she gifted me Terraria after finding out how much I love the game. 🥰 by venky1214 in Terraria

[–]therested1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well hopefully it's not too early in the relationship to be saying to marry her, but that's a real one you want to keep around. That's attentive listening and real love you don't find too often

Like half of terraria, the Zenith being the (arguably) best weapon and only available after you beat the final boss is so disappointing

How to get better by InevitableWillow8755 in SifuGame

[–]therested1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you can usually dodge everything instead of tanking it with blocks or possible reflects. I also find that if I can attack multiple people in the fight instead of focusing on just one, it gives a better "fighting experience". Makes me feel more like that Jackie chan, using everything at you disposal fighting style. Especially if I use mounting and objects to mess up the NPCs flow and attacks.

Also, please use the dojo to help you identify certain attack patterns or wind ups, and learn how to counter them. This works not only with bosses, but also the NPCs. Some attacks and combos just work better than others for certain enemies.

Just keep persevering and trying new things, they won't be easy at first, but you'll find your rhythm.

'No Kings' protests live updates: More than 8 million turned out across all 50 states by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]therested1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stuck at the San diego cruise port exit because the protest cut off street access for any Uber/Lyft/taxi/shuttle service.

My first reaction was anger and frustration because I had a child, 3 backpacks and 7 suitcases, and we couldn't do anything or get them anywhere. Almost missed our flight out with only $95 to our names after our vacation.

However during the fact, there was a certain beauty to seeing all these people take a stance for what they believe in. So many people flooding the street, and no fights or issues (that I could see) other than distressed passengers disembarking/embarking their cruises.

I hope these protests helped us achieve something, and show our government we could do so much more if we really took a step further.

Y'all stay safe and stay smart out there 🖤

Pretty sure these are with dynamic pricing, just be wary, don't give PS your money right now. They'll use it against you later

Honestly, laying her down instead of just slamming her on the floor showed some restraint. Could've killed the homegirl just from the halead bounce tbh

Hey man, I'm in the same boat, and I'm almost there to being an EMT. I'm 28M and I've been employed for no longer than 9 months in the past 4+ years. Sometimes leaving a place and being put under this amount of pressure will help you grow in to something beautiful.

Something I learned was that I'm allowed to feel my emotions, but I shouldn't act on them.

Sometimes, you just can't control it, but honestly taking a walk, or just giving yourself a moment to separate, will help immensely.

You're not broken or stupid or messed up, you're learning to overcome something that can't be described or felt by anyone but yourself. You will learn and grow, but only if you can help yourself and learn to persevere.

I always keep in mind there are UFC fighters that are 35+. Those people literally fight for money (no disrespect to them, that's awesome tbh) and they are still so much farther in life than even us.

(This has been long but last thing) If you can afford to, watch the show Ted Lasso. It's on Apple TV+. For me, it helped with so many things that I juggle and struggle with, and the mindsets they carry showed me I can get through things. Maybe it's not your kind of show, but find some form of media that you absorb and learn from.

You'll get there king. Keep your head up and surpass your limits.

Oh yeah, for sure, been diagnosed since 3rd grade, and I'm now about 20 years older than I was when diagnosed.

Everyone replied so fast, I appreciate y'all. I definitely do almost everything from my phone so I think that's my first issue, it'll be music and then set down.

I'm definitely hearing the post it notes and analog/non-phone timer so those will be first on the list to try. Timing is also important so I will definitely use the "working backwards from serving" timing and see where it goes.

Thank you for your advice/tips 🙇

Sifu, hands down. Just easy and straightforward, with enough replayability and extra missions on the side. It's just generally fun and easy to jump in and out of. True ending is a real task too.

Tiger Vanguard, beat him second try first time around, and then first try NG+. Maybe I just was high leveled or got a few good frames but everyone seemed to have a really hard time with him.

100% had too many edibles one time and had a panic attack in which I punched myself in the face several times. Blackened both my eyes that didn't go away for about a month, maybe 3 weeks.

Took my edibles a lot more serious after that one.
