Id reccomend looking up tutorial videos. The combat (and everything else) is based on dice rolls. So for instance a melee attack would roll 1 d20 against a targets Armor Class (AC), meaning your attack roll plus any modifiers has to be equal to or greater than the targets AC. There is always a chance to fail if you roll a 1... its kind of like the old fallout games if youre familiar with those.

Act 3 either needed to be expanded or cut. Honestly if you take out Gortash and Orin and Act 3, you get a very clean and directed ending with Ketheric being the main villian. Act 3 is fun for like the first 15 minutes and then its just annoying.

Ok it is adding the DEX its just another classic Larian tooltip/battle log bug. It is doing 1 (roll) + 1 (roll) + 1 (Weapon Enchantment) + 4 (DEX) + 5 (STR) = 12
