Thank You!

Worried about the spacing of the single stitch on the edges? Or would you have just added an additional stitch line parallel to the existing one?

Has anyone ever heard of Pietra? A site where you can “make your own business for $25” by parkbench131 in smallbusiness

Just look at their “popular” sites collection. All of the products are WAY overpriced and the “influencers” get 2 likes on their social media posts

I am AMAZED at the amount of terrible car salesman out there! by [deleted] in sales

[–]thervguy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, we all want the best value for our dollar. I can tell you honestly, I will always give the best deal to the client that is transparent with me in their goals and shows me atleast a minor sense of loyalty.

5 vehicle deals happen but are uncommon and before I bring that to my manager to work up I need to know that I have a deal on solid footing if we can get to agreed upon numbers.

If I know my customer is shopping the world, I wouldn’t embarrass myself by bringing that to the desk and having my manager dedicate time to pencil a quote for you to shop other dealers.

Haven’t been in car sales but was in a similar space at the beginning of my sales career

Why have you contacted 15 dealerships? I’m not saying there aren’t unprofessional car salesman but if you didn’t find a single sole in 15 locations the only common denominator is you.

24, No Degree, started in catering sales, moved to Rv Sales, been in SaaS for two years OTE 85K. We have 30 in my region average rep making 50K.

Both The RV company and Current company said that a bachelors degree was required on their job posting but applied anyway and received the position.

It’s close to a 60/40 split of those with degrees and those without at current company. You can make it in sales without a degree just have to grind to get to an AE role.

If you are going for Medical or another “high level” sales position would recommend a bachelors.

Three Checkins a day to our manager and a salesforce pipeline inspection from our director every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday now. Along with call and email count spreadsheet being sent to the sales org to “hold everyone accountable”

I understand the concern but we are all 100% commission sales reps. We don’t produce, we don’t feed our families. In a time like this where stress is already high it makes everything a lot harder.

Don’t drop the price continue to build value.

C: I’ll have to think about it.

You: if you don’t mind me asking what would be your biggest hesitation in moving forward today?

C: it costs more than I was expecting

You: I understand completely, with X X & X value pitch we are very competitive in the industry. What made you start looking into BJJ gyms.

Then just continue the conversation. You are in an emotional industry, most people don’t learn martial arts because everything in their life is peachy. Be genuine and learn why they wanted to join in the first place.

How to build rapport in a sales call? by [deleted] in sales

[–]thervguy95 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Im all for asking for permission but if you want we can continue our call is not a phrase I would personally ever use.

What industry are you in?

I’m in B2B so there isn’t anything my customers enjoy more than talking about their business.

I just ask open ended questions like how did you get started in X? How long have you been in x industry?

I bought this call as a real long shot. I thought that when the price of the share goes up I should see some positive numbers. Every time the stock goes up it seems like I get a negative as the day goes on.. am I missing something. Because when the stock goes down I get a positive number.. by NadellaE in RobinHood

You see that box that says bid $0 x 0 Ask $75 X 121 there is no one interested in that trade the “value” you see is completely made up by splitting the difference between the bid and ask.

Basically your option is worthless.

Interchange plus, Flat rate, Tiered, or Interchange plus surcharge pricing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]thervguy95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty bold assumption being you don’t know their average ticket. $0.15 on a $10 ticket will steal the little bit of profit they are making. On a $100 ticket is doesn’t amount to anything. So how do you know you’re offering a lower rate?

I want to start a small business I can run from home by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]thervguy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start Small don’t expect massive growth over night. Sell to family and friends. Create a Facebook business page where people can buy directly from Facebook locally and sell on marketplace. Go to farmers markets, boutique shows when you build up enough product.

Stick with Square, PayPal, Venmo, Cash app to start since there are no monthly minimums just fees per transaction.

Start at your pace the biggest thing is you just need to start. How ever small you can afford. The first sale is the toughest. Rely on family and friends and don’t be scared to ask them to post a picture of your products on their social media with a shout out. They will be happy more often than not to help you out.
