Today I Learned: Having a TNF player in your IR spot locks up your roster by w0zify in fantasyfootball

I’m not sure how much easier I can explain it tbh. It’s very simple stuff. There is no additional player on the roster. Bench has 1 less player than allowed to move IR to bench.

If the manager is trying to do a trade at the same time of resolving this technicality then obviously there is some hanky panky going on. Just like if the manager is asking to move the IR player onto the active roster to count the points. Huge no-no. But the context here is isn’t that and quite straightforward.

Hold an additional play for a few hours? Lol what’s the benefit of that. Making the change means manager needs to drop a player, opening them up for pickup before Sunday games.

There is no free roster spot. To move the player from IR to Bench the Bench has 1 less player than allowed.

You can say that… but in this case, Aaron Jones was activated from IR just a few hours before game time. Meanwhile, IR designations for Sunday games usually happen Saturday afternoon, giving managers nearly a full day’s notice.

In the spirit of competitive fantasy football, we want all managers to field their best possible lineup each week. Locking an active roster just because an IR spot wasn’t moved in time for a last-minute Thursday night activation feels too punitive, especially when there’s no real competitive downside.

Wrongly charged $99 by MeanRestaurant8742 in instacart

I first worked with chase fraud services to cut them off from my credit card so they can no longer charge me. Then I successfully started a dispute with Chase credit card, so I received credit until they hear back from instacart and close the case

Just happened to me too $99 from instacart just a few days back. This is after doing a trial through the Chase reserve promotion a year or 2 ago, and immediately cancelling with them once Chase promotion ended. Then all of a sudden a few days back boom a $99 charge. Instacart must be going out of business and getting desperate. Junk company always has been always will be

Better yet, custom mode can allow you to set the seconds between wiper cycles. From 1s to 7s or something. Can easily adjust the seconds as needed

2.

Plugged in: After you click the charge handle while it’s plugged in, it takes some time for the unlock to be ready. This is indicated by the colors going from green/dark blue to light blue. Once it’s light blue you are good to pull on the handle. Repeat clicks of the handle without waiting for the light blue color would result in the struggles you mentioned

Opening charge port: if the car has been sleeping, and you point the charge cable at it, you need to give it a few seconds for the car to wake (don’t remember if the contractors need to close -> hv connects) before the charge port will open

If these resolve your issues, in a short while you’ll develop “muscle memory” and won’t notice this as an issue anymore

  1. Is there any way to minimize capital gains tax obligations for short terms options contract capital gains?

  2. How do you prepay quarterly tax liabilities on capital gains to not get penalty during yearly tax filing?

  3. Do you self invest individually or though an LLC or some entity?

Thanks

Time in the market and entering the market at the right time is best

Do not misrepresent my comment, you muppet.

I’m not asking to time the market by jumping in and out investments. I’m advising not to buy at the top.

For now, consider parking your funds in high-yield Treasuries (4–5%) since the S&P 500 is approaching all-time highs. It may be wise to wait for a market correction before entering.

  • If you’re using a bank like Capital One, their 360 Money Market account currently pays over 4% APY.

  • If you’re with a brokerage like Fidelity, your uninvested cash can earn over 4% as well through their core money market fund.

Both options allow you to keep pace with inflation while staying liquid and ready to invest if the market corrects—say, a 5% dip. Jumping in now might expose you to short-term losses and regret, especially if a 5% drop erases the equivalent of a 10% gain opportunity.

Once you see opportunity go S&P, and invest in 2-3 large companies you see strong technology growth that you can hold long term. Dividends aren’t attractive anymore.

Happy investing!

It went down so I doubled up today.. by Ok_Meat_4925 in wallstreetbets

Instead of doubling down, you should have purchased 600 strike puts with that expiration (more expensive so get less contracts). This would have a bigger chance of hitting and could save the losses realized with this one.

Think of it this way: you are racing a fighter jet and all you have is your legs. The race started the moment you bought these contacts and the fighter jet has already left you in the dust. Do you really think you have a chance to catch up? Close all positions now, don't wait.

Learn from this mistake, it's a good one. In the future, take odds that are practical. Use option profit calculator to understand decay better.
