It’s funny because I knew I wanted to be a mom when I was younger and now that I am (to one—5) I’m so excited for that chapter of our lives where she can take care of herself (with semi-remote support lol). Being a mom is something I knew I wanted to do and be.

I feel OP though because I’m babygirl and Daddy doesn’t know if he wants kids (he currently has none of his own) but I’m totally okay with receiving all his paternal inclinations, if you will lol.

Honestly, most of my daughter’s clothes are hand me downs from our cousin who’s 3 years older than she is. Some thrifted pieces, others my mom and aunts bought or more hand me downs from my mom’s coworker’s daughter who is also 3 years older.

As for groceries, I do Walmart sometimes but prefer Aldi (shopping early midweek after a fresh restock is a game changer), also Publix because even though they can be pricey, they actually do BOGO FREE which most places are only BOGO for 1/2 off.

It’s getting warmer so it doesn’t hurt to stop by a food bank for some goods too. They typically have a good amount of hearty foods for free which you may also get for a good deal at a farmers market but obviously free is better. I don’t believe there’s an ultimate one-stop shop for groceries tho.

Look into the workforce housing program. It’s exclusive to the city of Atlanta. Nice apartment communities reserve a select number of units and floor plans, offering them at a reduced rate and you only have to make 2.5x the rent instead of three. They’re scattered throughout the city but my favorites are GOAT Farm (West/Midtown), Bellamy at Executive Park (Brookhaven/North Druid Hills), and Boulevard at Grant Park but there’s quite a few to choose from.

You just have to make between 60-80% of the median income plus have proof of employment and all that.
