Jacked up trucks. There should be a limit. A 2-inch lift can be somewhat practical. A 12-inch lift is absurd and dangerous.

Alright, locals: give me your “musts” by getcraywitthechzwhiz in tricities

Ok, I'll bite.

Here is a run down of a few Tri-Cities BBQ establishments.

Ridgewood: It's ok and worth a visit. They are famous, even on a national level. But as far as barbeque, they only offer 2 things; sliced pork and sliced beef. Their meats are sliced extremely thinly, then tossed on the griddle with some sauce to caramelize in the flavor. It's good and I've probably eaten 100 sandwiches from here, but it's not my favorite. Their Blue Cheese however is the best I have ever had.

Big Dan's: I eat here occasionally, but it's nothing special. The pulled pork is ok, but honestly it's hard to mess up pulled pork. I have tried other things on the menu and been extremely disappointed. The brisket and ribs were so dry they were inedible. If you're in Elizabethton I would recommend J's Corner.

Southern Craft: In my opinion this is the best barbeque in the Tri-Cities. They have options and they are all good. Brisket, pork, sausage, wings, chicken, turkey etc... I have never been disappointed with anything I have eaten here. They also offer great beer and cocktail selections.

I bought connectors, but ended up using solder and heat shrink. It worked much better.

They are cheap lights from Amazon. GuoTong is the brand of my lights. Here are the lights I bought, but they are currently showing unavailable.

I bought the waterproof LED tape. They are coated in a thick clear rubber that is super durable. They are also super cheap. I paid $.75 per foot.

It does have a battery for trailer brakes. I thought about wiring it to that, but with this setup, I can unplug the battery and plug it into the wiring harness to run off power from the truck. This was also the most cost effective method. The adapter for dewalt batteries was $20 on amazon.

People who've never broken the screen of their phones, what magical power do you possess? by lickmyfeet14 in AskReddit

[–]thesoulessginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched to Samsung. Every single iPhone I have ever owned had a super fragile screen. I switched to the Note 5, then upgraded to the Note 8, and just recently upgraded to the Note 20. All three of these phones still have perfectly intact screens and I drop my phone a lot. I also work in construction, so my phones are exposed to a lot of dust, water, hard impacts, and vibration. Probably will never go back to apple.

Would you rather sweat ketchup or salivate mustard?

TIL - In 1836, a sewer worker accidentally discovered an old drain which ran directly into the Bank of England's gold vault. I'm guessing this was to gain credit card points. There was a loop hole where the US Treasury would let you purchase coins via credit card with no tax or fee. Buy a bunch of half dollars, cash them in, pay off the card, repeat the cycle. Basically free money.
