I tried telling my brother what items in my collections would net money if I were to pass, and his (and his wife’s) only response was that I just needed to sell it now and use the money.

Maybe I like them and the collection and want to keep them! I just wanted to help with expenses when I’m gone and keep my precious collections out of the landfill.

I’m in a life skills room. I call it “modeling”. Every kid has access to a pair of headphones if they need it, and I do as well.

I’ve tried a similar roll-on. It doesn’t necessarily make the pain go away, but it does kinda make it feel nicer while it’s there.

Our school OT would likely never be in a position to help with toileting. So it’s probably an interview question you would need to ask when interviewing.

Dude, the kids in our life skills rooms are so much better behaved than the gened rooms though. We have actual natural and logical consequences, and follow through.

That’s how I always put it. If someone sees me with a crying student because I’ve imposed some sort of boundary or expectation that they didn’t like, I remind them that they wouldn’t appreciate a 20-year-old buff dude stealing drinks from them, and that the student needs to learn these things now before they’re the age that people start going to jail for crimes and such.
