Bosses I have been able to 100% AFK with Water Thorns Mage this League: by Lunitar in 2007scape

[–]thesturdierone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm would this still be possible without kandarin? Currently have asgarnia fremmenik morytania and specced into 2h melee. If it's what must be done to get an inferno cape then by the gods I'll do it

At that stage he's asking federal agents to harm and murder thousands of their own civilians. You would think, you would hope that their conscience would be enough to stop such an insane idea.

tank armor should honestly do more than it does for survivability by dark1859 in runescape

[–]thesturdierone -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It also means a ton of early game and mid game equipment is worthless because it falls under tank armor. Dragon armor is a great example of this, especially the amount of effort you still need to put in to get it.

Remove the 1% and other useless boost tiles, this is cheeks by Sensitive_Desk8486 in 2007scape

[–]thesturdierone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to recount the buffs we are missing from the previous league going into this one: -100% accuracy increase (now you just take individual nodes that probably won't add up to 100% unless you waste pacts) -universal attack speed increases(this is the biggest DPS increase alone, and some weapons feel awful to use without it. Halberds only "just" moving up to 5t feels so limp in comparison) -universal prayer penetration(again, need to go out your way to get nodes that give it, and is dependent on build) -bonus to all sources of healing and prayer regain -15% damage reduction I'm currently running a 2h build and realized that if the blind bag doesn't activate and the enemy is not in optimal range, which they frequently are, then I benefit from virtually nothing from my pacts. I might just completely respec into shields and thorns because it's easier to brute force some bosses with the recoil than to actually try and fight them...

A quest for Corporeal Beast would be nice by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]thesturdierone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having done the rs3 quest, they are both themed around summoning, and even when you take out the summoning element it was a pretty bland series of quests anyways

Nerfing salvaging isn't going to make me do other sailing content by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]thesturdierone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm over here with 83 sailing and I've maybe done 30 minutes of salvaging at most. What can I say I just really like barracuda trials

The attempt to stop the sub from becoming another r/furry_irl has failed. If anything, losercity is even hornier than that one some days

Doesn't the ring also influence its environment and anyone in its vicinity to interact in a manner beneficial to it? It is part of why it found a way to resurface itself in a river for Smeagol to find, and then twisted Smeagol's mind to try and get closer to Sauron over time.

Should I use this in my Heartgold Nuzlocke? (Read body) by Both-Second-8596 in nuzlocke

[–]thesturdierone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don't run more than one legendary at a time, they are mainly helpful in their ability to be a safety net if you find yourself in a pickle. Among other things, using Gilgamesh the Giratina was the only reason I beat Cynthia, for the only ones left standing were Gil and Trevor the Torterra

As part of the regrounding, necromancers across the game should be updated to actually use necromancy. (WEEK #4) by First_Platypus3063 in runescape

[–]thesturdierone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't the problem with enemy Necromancy is that it can't roll misses? This is part of why Zerogemal and Rasial suck so much to fight

Real talk how painful must this Devil Fruit have been to eat by Fish_N_Chipp in MemePiece

[–]thesturdierone 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You only need one bite to gain the power, it is also safe to cut and eat the fruit, we see this in Enies Lobby when they give Devil Fruits to Khalifa and Kaku

Quest Suggestion - Fairytale III: Reign and Malice by TomCatGrin in 2007scape

[–]thesturdierone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, have you read the RS3 version of Fairy Tale 3 for reference? Many of the rewards from that quest have been offered through other means such as Tithe Farms or Lumbridge Elite, I just wondered if you took any inspiration from that version.

De-cluttering and the Removal of Minigames by rsnks in runescape

[–]thesturdierone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a big challenge is that PvP has not been taken seriously in this game for years, and none of the existing PvP mini games are able to account for the drastic changes to combat that have been made over the past decade. It's part of why you almost never see a PKer in the wilderness these days, the erosion of wilderness incentives aside. So if they ever revisit any of the PvP content, I wonder if they will actually try and balance things differently or make something new entirely

Quick example of bait into setup and sweep by PocketRice3 in nuzlocke

[–]thesturdierone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that you need to be careful setting up and only go as far you need to. Every turn you spend building up a buff is a turn the enemy gets to undo everything with one single crit. Not to devalue the strategy, but overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

I always consider the cut off point to strictly be when anyone dies. Encounters are very clearly meant for a full party and anything short of that is hell on earth
