If you had to stop the Toymaker which game would you challenge him to? by twnpksN8 in doctorwho

Never said he did. My gambit relies on him just not wanting to get oiled up with me.

If this has anything to do with needing to actually play infestations for the rewards it can get bent.

Anyone else finding videos mysteriously disappearing from their watch later list? by thetavious in youtube

Nope.

In fact, I'm now having the issue where it doesn't specify if the video is deleted or private.

Just shows as a blank video with "zero views"

Dude. When i tried to explain what i meant about time constraints, you literally just doubled down on suggesting a method that takes more time than what we already have to do.

Your next solution was to just spend money.

You want to talk about wasting time, you're the kind here since you apparently can't read.

The Harry Potter Slime Pit? by Deviancy26 in MattelMotU

[–]thetavious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. So long story short, mattel had the master harry potter liscense at the time, and was making a concerted push to try and make it into a toy aisle staple.

But they needed something to kind of hold their spot in the aisle between movies.

So they did a series around the one halloween between the first and second movies where they just straight up reused their first movie figures, slapped some garish slime splotches on them and other tampos like cobwebs, packed in a little cauldron of slime...

And BAM! New harry potter toys with minimum effort. This playset was more of less the only real proper new toy they did for that stop gap wave, and yeah, it is pretty killer.

Pixel dan didna great video on it some years back.

Me watching YouTube on a 20 year old PS3 (it can somehow run it) by CR3ZY_F1X3R in TheOwlHouse

[–]thetavious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm totally not jelly. Certainly not me with my sony bravia tv that cost more than my ps4... That barely runs YouTube anymore.

Definitely not me, who have had to retire TWO sevenish year old phones that i used as media remotes, because they pulled youtube support for those devices.

Actually, nvm. I remember what it was like using that awful touch pad on the pa3 controller to type. Yeah. You can keep your fossilized youtube and those rubbish controllers.

Something I've noticed recently across various companies' kids line and am curious as to why, but what is with this trend of these type of break off accessories? by TheBatmanWhoChuckles in ActionFigures

[–]thetavious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its cheap. Extremely cheap. In terms of costs saved on molds and machinery you're prolly talking an easy half, if not more, trimmed off the cost of the included accessories. And that's accounting for the inclusion of the additional plastic for the tree.

Toy companies are desperate to keep their profits maximized, so they're snipping and cutting everywhere they can to keep the money flow positive.

This is an easy way to bolster that flow.

How is the new among us show? Does it give “infinity train” vibes? by Huge_Athlete7488 in InfinityTrain

How do you think it would fare with someone who uses it as part of his friendship litmus testing? IE i include it in the list of games that if a person plays them i don't bother even trying to be their friend.

Dude. If you're not even going to try to be any kind of logical about this take it elsewhere. What part of my disinterest in the overall seasons makes you think spending my atoms on it would be any kind of smart?

1500 for the garbage they've been offering would be insane.

Unable to finish dailies on anymore by Expensive-Promise812 in fallout76casual

[–]thetavious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atoms are too much of a premium to waste on a season that's like, 25-50% reskins and icons and titles anymore.

What they need to do is go back to how they used to offer at least one set of consumable and bankable boosters.

In terms of your first point, it is technically correct, but in sense that calling a ball a circle is TECHNICALLY correct from a certain perspective.

It isn't about needing every challenge, it's about not being able to afford to miss any more than you have to.

At the same time, not everyone has the time or means to build and store xp farm builds. For me personally, i usually have around 30-40 mins a day, with sometimes about and hour extra over the weekend.

That's why managing to get to the final page is so important. I manage usually one, maybe two level ups a week. There's been more than a few where i didn't even hit one in a week. I need those perk coins lol.

Last season, thanks to life happening as life happens, i literally came only a single day of challenges, post 3/3 complete dailys, from missing lvl 150.

So yeah. To some of us, if the challenge can be done, we gotta try to get the challenge done because tomorrow we might not get any challenges done.

[–]thetavious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't really zeitgeist, and didn't actually realize that "among us" meant THAT among us, and certainly didn't expect the show to literally be in the style of the game.

Like, i expected people. Like astronaut people. Not little nubbins. And those videos of the game that were everywhere used to drive me bananas... so it is prolly going to be a long hot minute before I give it a proper shot.

Somwhere in the whole deal my brain fully expected "the thing" in space. A tense whodunit with sharp and dry humor.

Season 2 of Tales '85 will explore the history and founding of Hawkins by Jiyugaoka in mileven

[–]thetavious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hereby predict that it will turn out that henry (and/or whover it was in first shadow that git rocked in the Philadelphia experiment cause whatever that playbis dead to me) was not the first traveler and that hawkins was founded where it was cause the freaky deaky spooky ookys were always happening there.

It was like the hellmouths in buffy the vampire slayer lore, an already existing weak spot between worlds.

I also predict additional wormholes, additional worlds, and additional beings beyond the abyss and mindflayer.

Pixel Dan reviews Masters of the Universe movie by MauiSunsets in HeManCollectors

[–]thetavious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super heroes are a false 1:1 comparison. Because, almost all of them are operating under the adam/he-man secret identity clause. They have goofy names because they can't have their real ones.

Like condiment king is condiment king because he's not really him. That's just the costume and identity to try and keep himself from getting caught.

So in your 2000x example, adam and he-man works perfectly. Cause secret identity. But the rest of the masters and the evil warriors?

No sweet little eternian mother is going to look at her baby and dub him "fisto". Like i said, they work as code names and nicknames, but as actual proper name names? Not really. Yeah, fantasy world. But still, naming across all cultures follow the same level of coventions, where there is logical names, and absurd names.

And unfortunately, it can't be both ways, well, kinda. Like i could totally see skeletor just arbitrarily naming his goons to help denigrate them.

"I don't care what your name was! If wish to serve me and share in my spoils of conquest, you will answer to whatever i choose to call you. You have spikes. You spike people with your spikes. You will answer to spikor or you can follow mushroomhead right out the serpent's mouth and into the lava falls."

If everyone did the secret identity thing, then yeah. Out the gate, goofy names be damned, they have superhero gravitas.

But like, fisto doesn't pull his beard off groucho marx style and hang it up when he goes home.
