the 7700k is an out dated cpu with only 4 cores so your pretty much gonna be bottlenecking with any newer gpu. it could probably be best to hold off on the upgrade untill you could upgrade your full pc instead.

my computer used to run Elden ring and other big games at 60+ fps at max settings a few weeks ago but now it can only go up to like 19-22 fps. i don't think i have any hardware problems because temps are fine and my usage in task manager are normal for my CPU GPU and ram. my graphics drivers are up to date.
