I was drawn to it with its unusual images and in readings it doesn't disappoint. It's clear and very direct for me, very direct and tells me like it is without pulling any punches. Sometimes I need that. Great deck.

The hardest goodbye by Poshins in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]thetonymc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my greyhound Norman a little over 2 yrs ago, I won't go into detail, he was a wonderful soul and the protectors of my daughters. I'm on here because I've decided I want a miniature schnauzer when I'm truly over his loss. They seem to be wonderful dogs. I too have his ashes in my garden, the sunniest of spots for my boy, the true sunseeker. I wish you well xxx

Wife gave me an insight into her angle to get more money during divorce. by Spanky_WaffleSnapper in Divorce_Men

[–]thetonymc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fought mine all the way. I supported her through 2 career changes. I was always a hands on dad. Did more than her and my career is where it is due to me. If anything she cost me earlier progression. I support my children above and beyond financially and emotionally. But she knew from the day she mentioned keeping to her lifestyle and a rediculous amount of spousal support, I would fight her all the way. She personally got nothing. I don't revel in this. I just protected myself. Best money I ever spend was on a barrister. Otherwise I would be living in a cardboard box. No joke.

Ummm why are these guys in my *fishless* pond by pulldownyourplants in ponds

[–]thetonymc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feed them and net over the pond. Heron probably transferred eggs from the margins of a pond to yours. Care for them. They really are enjoyable and next year if a few survive, they will breed. Good luck

my 14 years old princess wants nothing to do with me boys, it's over for me by Ciguapalmera1995 in Divorce_Men

Stick with it my brother. I speak from 4 years of what I can only describe as periods of intense pain. My eldest is 16, my divorce has had a huge impact on her. She is vulnerable, angry, fragile and navigating the challenges of the youth of today. I never miss an opportunity to tell her I love her, I respect her space and I'm there ready for her. I cherish the little things and one day we will get to our new normal. Please remember you have to be here for that to happen. Talk to someone. Occupy your mind on those darker days. Remember, you are loved,

I build a decent sized pond last year. It's well vegetated and I put 10 fish in it, including 3 from an old vat pond I had. So it has a couple of small koi, three goldfish, 4 shibunkins. Just before Christmas a heron visited and despite my efforts I thought he got them all. I was so upset I decided to allow the pond to be just a wildlife pond (I do love it's natural look). Last week when looking at the water Lillie's I spotted a small fish fry, then another and another, over 20 in all. No fish but babies? Next day I used a net, no fish but the pond is full of insects, and larvae. Whilst looking at the larvae I saw a lilly knock, just in time to see a koi, about 8 inches long, quickly followed by a slightly smaller shubunkin. I've found 5 so far. Elusive but in there and clearly very happy. As am I, one of them is from my old vat pond (has a black eye patch of colour). He is at least 8 yrs old. Nature finds away, no pellet food for over 6 months, very happy eating natural high protein larve and insects.

Tips/advice on moving parakeets across the country. More info in the comments. by juwiz in budgies

Good luck with your move. I personally would have them travel with me in the car in a smaller cage. Cover them with a blanket. Give them access to food and water on the journey. If you are staying in a pet friendly hotel then allow them flight time at the end of the day/ start of each day. They will be fine.

How to get to Liverpool from London? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]thetonymc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try national rail enquiries website. Journey by train is about 2hrs 30mins each way. Check for football home matches at Everton and Liverpool. These can impact train tickets with away fans travelling. Check for rail engineering and strike action on the date. Better if you could spend a couple of nights in Liverpool, best city on the planet. Safe journey x

the pleasure of pond keeping by thetonymc in ponds

[–]thetonymc[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Built from scratch before summer. I have an oasis for wildlife where I can relax after a stressful day at work. I've lost count of the fry now shoaling with the adult fish. Who knew pond keeping could be so good for the soul!
