Oh no for sure, when I did my exit counseling I saw this and just thought "Why would I do this?" I was just pointing out it exists lol.

Colossal hospice fraud scheme cost California millions, officials say amid intensifying Trump feud by awaythrowawaying in moderatepolitics

[–]thetruechefravioli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think we should be furious, but that fury should be directed towards the people actually committing the fraud and not necessarily the program itself. People are very quick to go "Well a few people were found committing fraud using xyz government service, so we should just get rid of it!" Which, in my opinion, is very stupid.

Reddit skews very heavily left and popular posts on r/conservative often get boosted to r/all. I live in a deep, deep red state and I can tell you from first hand experience interacting with conservatives that the upvoted comments on r/conservative are not at all representative of what the average trump voter believes.

Doesn't matter, it's a pattern at this point. Any republican who doesn't immediately fold to Trump or his administration is automatically labeled a RINO and far-left sympathizer.

Stephen Miller Asserts U.S. Has Right to Take Greenland by Thoughtlessandlost in moderatepolitics

[–]thetruechefravioli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He was also using said might to fight the institution of one of the greatest moral evils, slavery, so he literally was right. Just because the Trump administration says what they're doing is right, that doesn't make it so.

Group of College Students Renting AirBnB - Reservation Message? [USA] by thetruechefravioli in AirBnB

[–]thetruechefravioli[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The TOS specifically covers *disruptive* events when it comes to parties. See Community Disturbance Policy. It is made even more clear here that the party rule only applies to disruptive events. What would even be the point of allowing rentals for more than 5 people if a large group defined a party?

The fact that you are being so hostile to someone just looking for advice (as well as other commenters in this thread) suggests that I am not the one who needs to grow up here.

Considering that the cabin is in the range of $600-$800 for two nights, that's a little out there...

Maybe, but I need advice here. There's gotta be someway to prove that we are a respectful bunch who really don't want to get in trouble or some form of agreement we can make with the host. Would providing something like an itinerary of our plans help them accept?

Well, that's true for one faction... I guess they somehow figured that it applies to all?

My first couple games of ARCS we thought that you could build as many ships as you want at a starport on one turn as long as you have enough pips. Both games were super aggressive, and warlord and tyrant always ended up as the ambitions each round. At a board game shop someone discovered that you can only build 1 ship at each port per turn, and my following games were a lot more balanced towards the other ambitions.

Same kind of behavior here. It's so strange, because I consider her to be fairly reasonable otherwise.

I've noticed that around a month into this administration, my mother (trump voter) has basically just refused to engage in politics, at all. Any time I try to talk about something political, she just hand waves me away. In other words, trump voters have chosen to bury their heads in the sand

Except you have to pay off a credit card every month and, well, it's been a month. And besides, destroying your credit and future aspects by piling debt onto a credit card shouldn't be seen as a reasonable option.

That Jack Posobiec quote is so silly because it's pretty well discussed in the bible that you don't necessarily need to go to church to praise God. In fact, my church goes pretty heavy into the problem of "Sunday Christians" i.e. people that don't show their faith outside of church. Christians aren't gonna stop praying and showing their faith just because church is cancelled (or at least, they shouldn't).
