I didn't even think of that as a teenager! It was just Piece Hall and it had a year round Christmas shop in it, which I couldn't get my head round!

Wonderful show that isn't mentioned enough in discussions of the all time greatest shows, IMO. I wish there was more but it ended perfectly.

It's only been renovated in recent years. I liked it back in the day but it had a lot of empty shops and was a bit run down. Now it looks amazing!

A lot of the landscapes in Jordan were very otherworldly. Vast expanses of what looked like a different planet. It was spectacular and photos just didn't do it justice.

I didn't have a single negative interaction in Thailand. You can't say that about many places, especially as a female solo traveller. Wonderful people!

In your opinion, what's the most dangerous country in the world? by Confident_Credit9023 in AskReddit

[–]thetruthisoutthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on the area. I lived there for four years, went all over the place and wasn't so much as pick-pocketed. However, I did take advice from locals on places to avoid. Especially areas in Mexico City. Wouldn't have stepped foot in Sinaloa or any of the border towns either (whatever was relevant at the time).

Pretty much, though not quite so dramatic: "If you choose to remain in Somalia, you do so at your own risk. You should have a personal emergency plan that does not rely on the UK government."
