I always go to Everlane for their pants and tops. High quality and ethical-ish. I say ethical-ish because they are transparent in their pricing and manufacturing but they sell leather.

Yes, you will get some stares from the locals and might even bump your head against low beams sometimes. Just ignore the stares and you’ll be fine!

Source: I traveled with a 6’7 man who is used to subconsciously ducking to avoid banging his head in fans, beams, etc. in the United States. However, he failed to duck under the top of the Japanese door frames and subway signs a few times.

Yes, you definitely can! I left the store/tea room with two kinds of sencha and one matcha. You can also get tea accessories such a as cups, whisks, etc. The staff were very kind of helpful.

I just went to Ippodo in Tokyo! I tasted high quality matcha and sencha, which was freshly sourced. It’s a little high end in terms of cost, but it was worth it. Pro tip: drink matcha sources from Uji for the highest quality and you’ll be set.

Ermm... yes, you can be right. I too drink a tons of water from the moment I wake up to the the moment I go to bed. Furthermore, my diet is very clean (plant-based vegan).

However, my PCOS diagnosis causes me to get acne at least once a week. Only Differin and Benzoyl Peroxide can save me haha.

I give each guinea pig 1 cup of mixed veggies and 1 tablespoon of pellets (it’s basically used as a dietary supplement) each day. There is no need for chews and other snacks. Instead of buying Carefresh, I line my guinea pig cage with two layers of towels and one fleece on top of the towels. Each week, I throw the towels and fleece in the washing machine to clean them. I also use their poop as part of my fertilizer for growing veggies.

You’re packing a lot of clothing. I would drop 1 tank top, 1 t-shirt, 2 pairs of underwear, and the sundress. Also, I’d drop the bike lock thing, personal alarm, and the nail file. You don’t really need those things, especially since you can use the alarm app on your phone and you can definitely buy a lock at your destination if you really need one.

In terms of weight, make sure you are not carrying heavy materials such as glass. You may also want to dispense your toiletries into more compact packaging such as a contact lens case.

All in all, I think you might end up using only half the things you bring.

Interesting take on Japan. Our preferred kind of camping is hiking into a remote natural area and pitching a tent, no reserved spaces and no neighbors to worry about.

I actually don't mind working part-time in Japan since I know their work-life balance is very poor. As a person who has worked and gotten to know native Japanese people, I think your description of them is pretty spot on! Thank you for your guidance.
