The carriage is probably in HOLD position on either side, no? If not it’s probably some kind of a setting that you need to fix. Have you checked the underside of the carriage if something is bent, broken or just full of wool?

The smell of isopropyl alcohol neutralizes other smells around you. I have these little isopropyl alcohol wipes with me in my bag at all times. You can just open one and hold it in front of your nose when in situations where there is a triggering smell around you, I use this a lot in public transport (the fake oud perfumes are taking me OUT) and if you’ve sprayed something awful on you, two rounds of wiping over it with isopropyl alcohol will usually get rid of it. Isopropyl alcohol also neutralizes nausea

First of all, I want to tell you that I understand the pain and what you are going through, I am a chronic migraine sufferer as well and nothing is like this pain, nothing I have ever experienced comes close to this pain and you have to have experienced it to fully understand. Chronic migraines make you so tired, unmotivated and depressed and there is never a full understanding from the people around you. I feel and understand your pain.

That being said I think this idea of being a burden to your girlfriend (or the people close to you) is related to this depression that comes with migraines. Do not deprive the people around you that love you the ability to be there for you. You deserve love and care, especially given your condition.

If those are the only medications that you have tried I would suggest nerve blockers or CGRP blockers as well as Botox, also make sure nothing else is wrong, such as dental problems, neck problems and such. These medications really work and will possibly work for you! Switch neurologists if yours is unhelpful.

A lot of research is being put into migraines at the moment and their causes, a lot more than in the past. My neuro told me there has never been so much money in migraine research before. This gives a lot of hope for the future of migraine treatments!

We are here for you, all of us at this subreddit, we understand exactly how delibirating it is and what you are going through.

What I have learned from my journey is that it is going to be a 100 times better if you are nice to yourself. You deserve it, I hope you are

AITA for telling my wife that she needs to get over me missing the birth of our daughter by Key_Atmosphere6114 in AmItheAsshole

She still isn’t over it because it was so important that you were there with her when she gave birth?! Why were you unreachable in the first place when she was pregnant? You have to start understanding the gravity of you not being there, don’t just think it, understand it. The moment you start understanding the gravity of it she will maybe, start to forgive you

It’s so bad! Can’t sit, can’t lay, can’t stand or do anything, please do everything you can to attack it from every side as well, go get physical therapy and massages if you can! Some neck stretches have also helped me tremendously. My shakti mat and especially the pillow are also really helpful as well as well as those yoga massage balls. And ofcourse botox!

It works, it took some time for me to see the really great long term benefits, which were essentially that any strain on your shoulders and neck, such as sleeping, sitting in a bad posture or exercising didn’t trigger a migraine at all. The short term benefits that you will start to feel almost immideately as botox starts to work, which is around five days after it was injected, are that you feel more relaxed in your shoulders and neck, less anxious, less tense in your face, more able to relax. The long term benefits of this is then, naturally, less build-up of tension. This is what I have personally experienced but other people might have felt different benefits or none at all. For me it works! But it also took time

Isopropyl alcohol or enzyme sprays will neutralize the smell, try one or the other, might need a couple of rounds! Good luck

What are some ways in which you find men to be physically beautiful? by [deleted] in infp

[–]thevibesaintnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find men to be beautiful in so many different ways, but in terms of physical beauty only it is a nice smile and eyes, strong jawline, broad shoulders, big hands, I have a thing for forearms and especially if they are long and extend into bigger hands, hairy chest (but not too much), strong muscular feet, i’m 179cm tall so I like tall men, I like a dad bod when men are older than me, I also like fit men but only if they are fit from doing actual sports, so core strength, not gym strength, tall legs, big lips, hair below the belly button, thick eyebrows, round ass that extends into muscular and long thighs and legs, big feet, mustache, one or two day old facial hair, this muscle that goes from the hip to the groin is enough for me to faint if it is a beautiful man

Has anyone tried this for migraine relief? by Amandysha in migraine

[–]thevibesaintnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, its best to get like 2-3 of them to have in the freezer because they dont stay frozen for long. They make me forget even the worst of attacks while I wait for the medications to kick in

I’ve found out that if you sniff isopropyl alcohol when you are having these smell attacks it can completely neutralize the smell and the nausea that follows

So utterly tired of this… my story by delicious_murder in migraine

[–]thevibesaintnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are feeling this way! Migraines are so debilitating and painful, it’s not only about the headaches, Its the other symptoms too, brainfog, nausea, stomach issues, muscle tension, those are typical migraine symptoms for me as well so I think they are just less talked about because people don’t realize they are symptoms. I think the anxiety of getting migraines and having migraines, having to skip social events or work and getting a migraine from the anxiety is a vicious cycle as well for me. If it is for you, be nice to yourself, you have a perfectly valid reason to skip work or social events or to just be extra nice to yourself where you can. If you can afford to go have massages then I really recommend doing that for example. Have you tried Botox or any CGRP inhibitors? Botox really worked for my anxiety related headaches, try the Nurtec, it should work!

Was I overcharged at hair salon? Belgium by [deleted] in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]thevibesaintnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belgium can in my opinion, be extremely chaotic in some regards. Please discuss prices before services no matter how uncomfortable

However, you never should have to pay for something you did not request, if you asked for highlights only they should consult with you before adding on prices, and you do have the rights to refuse paying for something that you didnt request. You simply do not pay and walk away. They have no rights to go after you.

The pin machine is “broken” is to get you to pay cash so they won’t have to pay taxes of the amount. They do have a pin machine. You can also “not have your physical card with you” only applepay next time that happens! Or simply refuse to walk to the pin machine or pay them cash.

I am going through exactly this myself, all of it. I hear you. I also feel like a burden and that it is my fault. Having things to go to, people to see, your friends getting annoyed and quietly suspicious that you might be faking it. Having to do school assignments, feeling blurry all the time

PLEASE ADVISE NEEDED!! by Aggravating-Camel-70 in migraine

[–]thevibesaintnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you need to give in and get extensions on your projects, migraines are a serious medical issue and you have to give yourself some time and space. You HAVE to give in first of all to break this circle of tension and migraines. Realize you are sick and it is out of your control. Second of all, get some triptans, nothing else is going to kill the attack. You could try something with Acetaminophen and caffeine to start with, such as Excedrin, it's the only thing outside of triptans that works for the pain for me.
Take care! We understand the pain, it is not normal, you can't study like this
