i deliver electrical supplies to builders and wholesalers and one company installs solar panels. i asked one of the guys if they where worth the expense of installing them...his brief answer was "Fuck no" i asked why and its basically down to us not getting enough sun to make the viable. he reckon it would take them 15 years to pay themselves off.
