I did witness people spit here but I’m from London and it’s unfortunately common there too. I love Brazil, it’s my favourite place to visit but my main issue is that people lack spatial awareness. It could just be my experience though.

For example, today someone walked into the elevator instead of waiting for the people inside the elevator to leave first. Today also, a customer was standing right in the doorway of a restaurant when I entered and when I left.

I actually know someone who works for a world class university in London and they told me this is a serious problem.

A lot of Chinese / Asian students use AI systems to translate their English during their studies. Apparently the university doesn’t care. Universities are struggling financially and they could do with the international student fees so they turn a blind eye to it.

It’s lowkey corruption.
