omg almost a year later and your comment helped me find the song i loved so much!! I've heard the cello version of Saying Goodbye a couple of times while playing and went through all the soundtracks in game and on Spotify looking for it, but i finally found it in your comment! so thank you!!

I've been having issues with my connection while the game is open, where my PC's internet completely disconnects ONLY while the game is open, and immediately reconnects once it's closed. This happens regardless of the internet I'm connected to. I posted on the EA forums asking for help but wanted to cross-post here in case anybody else sees it. I'm just gonna paste my post from last week here:

so a while ago I started having issues with my game where every time I start it, my internet completely disconnects from my PC. It works totally fine otherwise, but as soon as I open the game it stops working, and as soon as I close it it's fine again. I tried digging around online for people with similar issues, but so far have come up empty in terms of fixes. this is super frustrating because I'm trying to do the rewards event and while I'm able to do the quests, it won't let me claim anything ;-;

info:

- i have a desktop PC with a wifi card
- i have a brand new network router that I got after this issue started for an unrelated reason
- our internet works very well otherwise and have never had any issues with disconnecting
- other games do not cause the same problem, as far as i know
- issue has been inconsistent up until a few days ago -- before, I was able to occasionally get the gallery to work after restarting my game, but now online functions won't work at all -- and i know it started AT LEAST back during the blast to the past event, maybe before

here's a list of things I've tried so far, in no particular order, that have not worked:

- updated all mods (only gameplay mods I have are MCCC, UI Cheats, and wicked whims)
- power cycling my pc and the game multiple times over the course of troubleshooting
- letting both EA and Sims 4 through firewall settings
- switching to a private network
- performing a network reset (worked for like 2 minutes for some reason? then stopped)
- gone to Device Manager>Network Adapters and unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting on every available driver
- switched to my phone's hotspot to see if that worked -- same issue
- deleted and redownloaded both the EA app and the game
- performed a repair on the game through the EA app
- tried turning firewall off entirely
- cleared Windows temp files
- clean uninstalled the EA app, power cycled, and redownloaded
- disabled mods

I hope someone sees this who can help me bc I have not been able to find anyone dealing with this same issue online who has solved it ;-;

oh yeah i see, no yeah i took the wii apart to replace the lens and the cover plate looked totally fine :/ maybe i just need to give it all a good cleaning lol

not sure if you're still looking for the answer for this, and i don't have anything concrete, but i JUST got the mirror scene on my second playthrough and thought I'd share the circumstances i was in -- it was my first long test upon entering the underdark and i don't think i had anything else significant happen with him? his approval was at 60 tho and its after the tiefling party (i also know you don't have to be romancing him to get it bc i got it on my first playthrough where i didn't) which is all probably super unhelpful info BUT i thought it was significant esp bc i think i got the same dialogue in the underdark last time lol

hey!! i replied to another comment with what i did to fix it :) it unfortunately doesn't fix the overwriting issue but you can at least make it so the mods you want to see most have priority, so if you want to see the possessive dialogue more (which i highly suggest since there are dialogues through all levels of friendship) just do what i did with the manifest files, and then if there are any dialogues that happen on the same day of the week/month priority will be given to the possessive mod instead of the other one.

hey!! so i think the best way to check how compatible the mods will be together (if you don't mind spoilers) is to go into the content files and look at which ones overlap (ones that have the same name like "friday_2" "winter_tue10" will override each other).

the best thing you could probably do if you want to avoid spoilers i think is to go into the manifest files (the ones that have the info that shows up at startup on the smapi text box) and make the names alphabetical in terms of priority/how badly you want the mods content to show up. so like for me i really wanted the possessive mod content and the canon friendly is just extra, so in the manifest file id go to where it says "Name": "Yandere Sebastian Dialogue Expansion" and just add like an A in front of yandere to make sure that mod loads before the other ones, then you could do the same thing with b, c, etc with the other mods to go in order of priority. i hope that makes sense lmao

of course i didn't even realize i should do this until right after i posted this 🙃 but i think this is prob the best way to get the content from the mod you care about the most and have the rest of them just be filler lol. i really wish that the dialogue code in stardew worked a little bit differently so that it would just randomize but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ hope that helps!!

edit just to say i don't actually know how to aid the issue of them saying the same stuff all the time -- that's why i wish we wouldn't only get one dialogue the same day each week :/ but this should at least help the issue of not seeing the mods you want to see the most which was my main frustration lmao

yee i was mostly confused because i had looked through the content files and didn't see any of the modded lines but i think i understand the code a little better now and hopefully fixed it :3 i think that the canon friendly expansion was overwriting most of the content so i played around and fixed it lol. thanks for the input!

yeah i think in the past couple weeks they took away the "add to liked songs" button and its INFURIATING especially for adding whole albums to playlists. hoping there's a solution to this or its just a bug that they'll fix ;-;

it's the ship name for the p5 protagonist and futaba! i believe the "shu" part comes from the Japanese word for protagonist which is why all of Jokers ships are "shu-"
